What happened to the extra moves when you click on give up?
Have been able to get them up until game 6203 and with only 23 moves this level definitely needs xtra moves

I wish I knew Carol. Of all the changes made by King this is the one that really makes no sense at all to me. The only result that I can see for this test is loads of complaints from frustrated players.
If King are reducing the amount of lives and not giving extra moves what is the point of playing.
That is something I have said already Carol the double whammy of reduced lives and now no extra moves will surely see players leaving en masse.
I can't imagine that even those who can afford to pay or others who struggle to pay would be happy with this.
That is my guess as to what this test is all about. The only thing that King can be testing by removing the extra moves is to see how many buy moves, or how many stop playing. Nothing else makes sense.
Alternatively this could be their answer to the life limit. The change to the life limit has seriously upset people that buy things for their games and I don't think King saw this coming. I think that by removing or changing the frequency of the extra moves and giving people back the ability to send and receive lives they hope to get those people buying again.

Hi Foxy seeing as last time this happened to you the issue fixed itself all I can suggest is that you stop playing other than to collect the Booster Wheel booster and check that the extra moves feature is back in your game. Obviously you will have to play a level once to check for the extra moves, but I would suggest just play the once and save your boosters & lives until the feature is working again.
This is greedy and stupid beyond belief. Who in their right mind will keep buying and spending gold on only 5 extra moves? Many level are impossible without more than 5 extra moves 🤷♀️
I lost the extra lives at the end of the game & got frustrated and reset the app and then I lost boosters and lives sent by friends and I had quite a few. I reached the end of the game every week & would occasionally buy lives and boosters but now I’m fed up. Unless things come back I’m done and I’ve been playing for about nine years.

You can’t even come close to passing most of the high levels in the number of moves you start with, so 5 extra makes no difference anyway.
I too used to keep trudging away until I was up to 35 and with a lucky board I was happy to pay.
No point in either playing or paying unless this is restored.
Well done King. Between this and the ‘lives from friends’ debacle, you are sucking all the joy out of your own game.

Why were extra moves removed after failing a level X amount of times, usually the extra moves would go up after you’ve failed a level so many times. Now it’s just 5 moves every time.
I agree whole heartedly. This is ridiculous. I am on level 12211 and there are many levels that are impossible to pass with the amount of moves they give you. Even with all of the boosts I’ve needed 20-30 extra moves to pass a level more times than I care to admit.
I am FURIOUS that they pulled this garbage on us. I am on level 12211 and spent money on a package last night to finish the board when all of a sudden after the update the extra moves disappeared. I spent $20 to only pass 3 levels and spent almost 6 hours on this level with every single booster and was still not able to pass it. It is literally IMPOSSIBLE to pass with the amount of lives given. I feel completely screwed over right now with the extra moves being taken away. I shouldn’t have to use a crap load of gold bars to pass a level after already paying for all of the boosts. I play this game, friends and soda and regularly reach the “end of the road” if that tells you anything and they have made it impossible to pass levels without spending a bunch of money. SO GREEDY. I AM DONE UNLESS YOU FIX THIS.
It is messed up for the players (the funders of the game). I will wait until they fix THEIR mistakes until I even care. They don’t !!

No they aren’t. The number of moves you receive when you use 10 gold bars used to go up after many attempts. Now, for the last few days it is stuck on 5 extra moves for 10 bars. Many people pay for the 10 bars if they know they can complete the level…but they won’t (I won’t) for just 5 moves.
That’s great! I was trying that on level 12142 also nightmarishly hard with 28 moves and my 35 extra moves disappeared!! I tried turning off both devices and back on but still gone. Very frustrating.
I play on two devices and I only updated Candy Crush on one device which is the one that does not give the extra moves. Today I was able to pass 3 nightmarishly hard levels with 35 extra moves on the device that was not updated ☺️

Seems to be disappearing for everyone. Another change to make us spend more $$$.
The fact that we frequently need 20 or 30 extra moves to complete some levels speaks volumes about the state of the game.
I had 30 extra moves on my iPhone and iPad and went back to play and it’s back to 5 extra moves for 10 gold bars. Where are all of my extra moves? What are they ruining now?!?!

If this was not going to stay, they should never had started it and stop making the games where u get less turns with more plays to win a game- having to be on a game for over 3 days and cant beat it there is a problem w kings way of thinking
ppl play game to have fun and relief some stress but w the way they can do everyone doesnt help. The answer they gave to franglish indicated they dont care about the people playing this game,If not for the people playing Candy Crush Saga this game would still be sitting at the beginning when it started. If you want to test limiting extra turns:
Make it five turns for one gold or ten turns for two gold.
Five turns for ten gold... hahaha... just wow. I hope it is a bug.
UPDATE: I emailed to the support team and the answer I got was this:
"I'm sorry to hear you are not getting more than 5 extra moves on your Candy Crush Saga game, but rest assured it is expected for this feature to change and even become temporarily unavailable, so there’s nothing to worry about. Please note that these are bonus features in the game and therefore not designed to be there permanently. To help keep things fresh and interesting, our studio tweaks and introduces new features every so often. As such, they need to thoroughly check these during gameplay, so these special features may appear or disappear during ongoing tests, as well as during scheduled maintenance checks."
So I guess they really don't care all that much.... Bye Bye...

For the first time ever, I purchased gold bars to keep me going when the extra moves reached 20+.
I won't be buying again until this latest decision has been reversed.

Me too. And this morning when I start the game only my name is there. My other players were there with pink hearts to send lives…gone! The fun part is gone. If I’m going to work this hard they should be paying me!!
Since 3-4 days ago, I am unable to log in with my facebook account. Yes, I tried everything that I could find online, all the helps and tricks, but it still doesn't work. Probably lost 10 years of progress and about 12000 levels… I am fuming… Whatever I do, I get this message…

this level opens and immediately says you lost the level with zero moves made. I believe there’s a glitch in this level. It’s been happening for two days.
How can I be in a group with someone who has only played just over 300 games and compete when I am over 11k in levels? How can their style be similar to mine? This is just a money making racquet otherwise we’d compete against people on similar levels. Someone must explain this and with LOGIC!!
hi my game froze in the middle of beating five seasons in first place and I couldn’t move forward I lost all progress after having to quit the app and had to start all over againn
