I win candy royale the first time I got my 500 Gold bars and this time I played I only got 9 and had to share it with unknown people that didn’t help get the win I think you should either pick your team or win them all by yourself it’s not fair I’m giving them gold bar while they do nothing and I’m not friends with them either

Candy Royale is a challenge where to win the prize you have to compete with players who are at the same level as you, it is not a team event like the function of the fantastic 5. If the other players manage to complete all seven levels, the prize final will have to be divided.

Pretty sure you've got it wrong. It's an individual competition where you fight for a share of the pot.
The fewer other people who also cleared those 7 levels from the first try, the bigger your share is. For example, if 19 other people succeeded, that means you'd get 500/20=25 gold bars. Similarly, if only 4 other people managed to reach the objective, then that's 500/5=100 gold bars for each one of you.
This said, it's a good idea to time the start of the Royale based on how many hard(er) levels there are on the road to victory. The more normal difficulty levels there are, the less gold you'll get, as there will be more people to share the grand prize with.
However, you may wish to have more normal levels if you're short of gold bars and/or boosters as to increase your own chances.

I've noticed it's a good idea to restart the game before starting the last level, as the counter isn't always correct. Just make sure you use the "Back" button to go to profile selection before closing the game. I've experienced bugs when closing the game at booster selection window, incl. losing my winning streak.

What the heck is that?! 😮 How is it possible you were the only one to finish the levels on 3 different occasions? Even at lvl 4500+ I hardly get under 8 people to share with. Does country of origin matter? Does clearing speed matter? What's the deal with Royale anyway - I've tried rushing, as well as waiting a few hours, and result doesn't seem too different.

Learn to catch the candy sentence at every ninth level. And you will always have no rivals in the game.

Well at least you have the event. I never had it . It makes me mad that certain people have events and others don't. King is so unfair to their players.

This seems like a bug to me. The event isn't supposed to work for just 1 person. It's called a competition for a reason. Lucky you! ☺

Make sure you've updated the game. Try the desktop version - maybe it will appear there.
The cooldown for me seems to vary - sometimes it's 15 hours, sometimes it's 3 days.
