WEEKLY CONTEST needs to be with your friends only again...It's not fair that I have to play against someone not on my friends' lists
Isn't playing against people in your level bracket fairer? A friend doing lower levels could easily win the competition.
If your friends are around your level, then they will be in the competition. It's my impression friends get a priority, as I had some 4 friends to compete with last week.
no, I rather play against my friends !!! they are not even close to my level but I rather play against them then someone I don't know getting the reward

By friends do you mean people that you know, or just names that are in your friends list?
All the people in my Weekly Contest are names that are in my friends list, so are you saying that you get people that aren't in your Friends list appearing in your Weekly Contest?
In some ways the Weekly Contest can't be 'fair' as some of the people you are competing against may be buying things for their game.
My second profile doesn't even have the weekly race. In my main profile I'm around level 11,500 I usually have the same 2 players in my race every week and a handful of others rotate through the other spots.
In my friends list other players have the 10,000 yellow banner so they can be anywhere between 10,000-12,000+ so other friends are on my level but it's usually the same few.
None of the events or races are fair. One profile has ads the other doesn't. When I signed in Sweet Cinema gave me coconut wheel, hammer, CB, and switch for watching ads. I was able to watch another for a CB to start out the level with. Didn't pass and watched ads for 5 moves and won. The ads are a HUGE advantage in Sam's Streak and especially now with the 20 lives limit.
It's off-topic but I wanna address the last point you made - I totally agree ads help a great deal. However, I stopped watching them before starting a level, especially when my win streak is 5+. I'd rather get extra moves at the end if I need them, instead of wasting a perfectly good ad for a boost(er) I might not need.
It's a contest and it's supposed to be fair. This can't be achieved if contenders aren't at a similar level. I'd hate to stand no chance against people at easier levels. It's already bad enough that only rank 1 gets a reward.
the person beating me in this week's contest is not on my friends' list and on level 2000 plus while I'm level 12498 ...so it is not fair for my friend, who is on this person's level, to beat out by them and lose the reward they all work hard to win
I agree it’s supposed to be with our friends. I’d rather play against people from my friends list even if they are on an easier level. There are plenty of other mini contests between people of similar levels within the game, but the weekly contest is supposed to be among your friends and I liked seeing how my friends are doing each week. Now it’s 5 people I don’t even now and half the time they have outrageous wins within hours of the reset time on Sunday.
Your adverts must be different than mine and Kerrie's Doondie.
Watching adverts before a level does not affect the adverts at the end of a level.
I can watch an Air delivery, a Sweet Cinema (less so now) and a Play button advert and still receive the three moves advert at the end if I fail a level.
It shouldn't be different though. I've watched hundreds of ads in recent months (on mobile) and I've noticed some patterns - ads often come in batches of up to 9 (enough for a full Sweet Cinema board) and they are shared among various features that utilise ads.
To use your example, if you have an ad for Cinema and Air Delivery pops up, if you watch an ad for Cinema (and it's quick enough), then the air balloon video will fail. Ads take a few min. to reload, so it's possible to get an air drop and then smash a candy, provided you gave enough time for the next ad to come. If you use all ads for Cinema, you're unlikely to have any left for pre- and post-level ads, including Shuffler.
Regarding the Weekly Contest - I had an interesting experience last week.
That guy is not on my friendlist, so we shouldn't be in the same group, as he was 4-5000 levels below me. Not only that but his score was better than some Candy Cup winners. lmao And no, I won't accept "it's a bug" explanation. 😐
Using.my example though @Doondie means your pattern doesn't exist for me. As I said I watch an Air Delivery, Sweet Cinema and a Play button advert and still receive the post level adverts
The Shuffler has never worked for me and it either crashes my game or gives me the video unavailable message.
Additionally as I have said elsewhere my Sweet Cinema has gone from an advert or more a level to once a month.
Everyone's game is different to some degree Doondie so it is difficult to draw any conclusions based on your own game. So whilst I get adverts for extra moves at the end of a level I do not get the extra moves + UFO that I know other people get
Funnily enough I experienced something strange with my Weekly Contest last week and I won it for the first time in ages. Thing is I can't remember how many levels I completed last week, but I know it was less than 50.
I have noticed quite a few people posting to say that their Weekly Contest contains a player that isn't in their friends list. It reminds me of the Troll to be honest.
Not sure why you think a player shouldn't be in the same group as you based on their level as there is nothing to indicate that the Contest works that way. You can be in the Contest with players at both ends of the map. I am on level 3000 and sometimes my Weekly Contest includes players that have passed level 10,000
Also having a Milestone banner of 1000 doesn't mean the player is at that level as issues with the banner means that sometimes the banner doesn't get updated no matter what level you are at.
I can't imagine how someone has managed to complete over a thousand levels in a week, but then again I think over 400 is excessive as well
The most I have ever completed in a week is 203, but that was before I completed level 1000.
I agree that the cause isn't a bug.
