I agree with @Doondie, @MannyFae and @Lady_Choo I think the software engineers have made a mistake. Level Rush was announced back in the beginning of March and I think Gold Rush is supposed to be an improved version of that feature. Typically I think the engineers have done a poor job.
Level Rush required that you completed new levels to obtain the gold, and it seem that the intent of Gold Rush is that you can get the gold by completing any level. It would seem to me that the engineers have slipped up when writing the code for Gold Rush and left aspects of Level Rush in the new feature.
This is made really apparent when you take into account the in-game pop-up I received yesterday.

We can confirm that Level Rush is the same as Gold Rush ๐
We appreciate that the different names might cause some confusion and your feedback has been passed on to the team.
We're also waiting on a clarification regarding how the different versions 25GB/30GB should work so we'll keep you all update ๐

Correct! It's the same feature but being tested again with different requirements.
Levels Rush allows you to pass all levels including older levels and earning 25 Gold Bars. Gold Rush only allows you to pass the latest levels and earning 30 Gold Bars.
It has been confirmed that this should be the expected behaviour.
