I see that when I can't pass a level I can now accumulate 165 additional moves. That's all well and good...but I can't earn enough gold bars to use them. Seriously this whole limitation on lives has ruined everything.

That's too bad. I still have my 125 that I can't use. LOL
I had the same thing happen yesterday, I have been stuck on a level and suddenly they were offering a 125 moves, no gold bars to get the extra moves so still stuck. When I logged back in today though the moves were back to 65? I have no idea what is going on maybe it was a one day special?
It's actually 125 moves. Typo. But yeah. I have accumulated 125 moves because I can't pass the level. And I can't pass the level because I can't get gold unless I buy it. Farcical is right!
I have never heard anything quite as farcical as offering 165 extra moves. Why not just say "Pay 10 gold to skip the level"??? Sounds like King are getting desperate, begging players to spend money, with an offer like that. They'll be the laughing stock of the gaming world before long. Well, it won't work. I can tell you what might work: Make the game playable on iPad again by offering landscape view. That might make one or two of us invest money in this game again.
