Why is the machine so fat? Why do I have to somehow miraculously spend 500-700-1110 ingots and in return he only gives 25-50?

Has anything changed since the last time you saw it? There should still be over 3 days left.
Log out, restart the game, log back in, do any lower level, then restart the game again. This should refresh your events. If the Growbot is not there, then it's just gone for you.
Anyhow, you can claim the bonus as you reach each threshold. Here's a screenshot from a previous edition:

You've got one of the "broken versions" of this event. Spending 800 or even 1100 gold bars within a week only to get 100 back is laughable. The proper version's max expenditure is 105 and you get 32 back overall. See here for reference:
Gold Bar Growbot gives "goldback" when you spend gold bars. Some people get ridiculous thresholds though. 😃
I'm afraid there's nothing you can do but ignore it at this point.

I've had this issue before and it's very frustrating. I click on the butterfly but it's not being counted. Last time I had this happen it didn't count my last 2 butterflies so I didn't get the reward. Today it didn't count 1 (so far). Can you tell me what's going on and that this issue will be fixed?
