Exactly! No boosters are being given. The levels are ridiculously hard and they want my money in order for me to progress. I get a message “80% of players needed a boost to pass”! What? So THEY know the levels are too difficult to pass without giving them money. Getting close to deleting the game altogether.

Yes, I have noticed changes. In fact week by week the game gets worse. As I have written elsewhere I think the only driver now to decisions which King developers make is the data they collect from our player IDs. They store data on what levels we play on, our purchasing history, how much gold we have and which events they give us. All these data are fed into a computer and out comes what events make a profit. Fun, relaxation, customer satisfaction, all gone out of the window now. They have probably laid off most of their staff and are using AI to run the game now. This sort of strategy favours players in the levels up to about 2000 as they are still being tested and teased into addiction with fun events and lucky boards. Have you noticed how so few players complain about levels lower down than 10,000 or ask for help on these? In contrast, anyone over 10,000 must now pay, find a cheat, or quit. Or is driven insane. My advice is avoid the last option. Get out!

I have been telling myself for year now I have been playing this game way to long - currently sitting at level 14350 - and do to this portrait switch (again, happen once before) this is to much- it is time to just quit- I understand that all things must change in order to get better - but there is no improvement by making it landscape only - I rarely play on my phone - play on my iMac its a morning staple - I looking now to find what will be my new morning routine that will not include a game I can only see on my phone, because portrait on the computer is way to small - not worth the amount of time I have invested- and the enjoyment is gone - Good luck everyone!

Uninstalled today. I'm done. Can't stand portrait mode. Hate the friends lives limitations (and that you can't voluntarily give them anymore, your friends have to ask), hate Candy Royale and the fact that i can't opt out. I've been playing for years and even spent a fair bit, but all these changes (for the worse) ate making me wonder why i play. I play to relax, not get frustrated by every turn of events. They won't change anything until more of us do this.
