Frustrated Beyond Belief - time to quit?

First they take away ads to get extra lives or Boosters (4 months ago for me). Next they make playing Candy Royale mandatory. And the icing on the "frustration cake", I have been stuck on level 12229 for 11 days!! I used to play the game to help me calm down and relax, but now it seems Candy Crush causes me anger. I don't look forward to failing the level for the 1000th time and seeing my icon catapulted in Candy Royale. Can't take it much longer, the game is not fun.. the uninstall may come soon. Another example if how the game is no longer fun... Three days into the weekly competition and no one has passed a single level (see below). Ridiculous!

I quit because it infuriated me and took up waaaay too much of my time. In all, I played about 17,000 levels or so. It seems for all your loyalty to King and hours of hard work, your reward for that is harder, more impossible levels?? King is beating up the people that loyally play the game, and that doesn't sit well with me. So I quit almost three months ago and haven't looked back. I feel like I've been released from rusty shackles. What a load off my mind! I used to play myself to sleep night after night, losing sleep and peace of mind to win the weekly race. I hadn't paid one cent for years, but regularly managed to win 8 weeks out of every 10. Only losing if my week became distracted with life. My highest weekly total was 799, and I was actually mad because I had family matters to deal with that week that stopped me from playing the final two days. THAT'S how addicted I was. It's not worth it people. No game should have that much control over you. I'm here sounding a warning out to you. Don't waste valuable time on a video game. There's more important things to do in your life.

The funny thing to me is that since I quit, they've kept trying to get me to come back, but their entreaties are just silly. You know, like an e-mail pointing out that I have gold bars still that I could use. Yeah, I obviously know that I have gold bars.

If they actually offered something (like gold bars or whatever), maaaaaaybe it would be an inducement to return, but the most they ever do is throw in some extra moves for the current level that I am on. No thanks.

I used to at least keep checking in daily for the daily machine, so if I ever DID want to come back, I'd have a lot of boosters, but then the daily machine stopped working due to the recent glitch, so now I had no real reason to return (I do occasionally come back for a spin and then leave).

the thing i find most hard is haveing to scroll up and down while play the game since they changed it from landscope

it takes the good out of the game i wish they would put it back

I only progressed 30 levels (L14571 - L14601) in 30 days (2 Oct - 2 Nov) mainly with rewarded boosters n 32 GBars . See attached. I am still keeping my cool to play on.

I agree with you all, I've been playing this game since it was launched but have today given up at level 14,371 because it's not fun anymore, its hasnt been for nearly a year; it's just impossibly difficult level, after level and I refuse to spend my hard earned cash on what used to be something I could enjoy playing to relax. Such a shame, greedy exec/share holder driven changes. I shall never play another King game again.. the sooner they sell it off to Microsoft the better

Very much agree! I no longer am going to post tips that I've found helpful or hints for just this reason.

After I talked about the swipe left on my phone opted out of CR, King found a way to freeze CR so you can't back out to the map. Same with on PC's back button from what I've read.

Sure, King will read and do something to close loopholes (lack of a better word) but they won't address serious problems with their game. They can't even say, "Hey! Candy Royale will never have an opt-out button again". What chickens.

If I don't want to play I shouldn't be forced to. It always seems to pop up right after I earn a 5 second promo, which makes it impossible to play and use that promo more then a few times because you have to wait for the royal players to load and for them to tell you where you stand after each game. Thanks for eating up my entire 5 seconds with a game I don't want to play.

that I didn't understand right away. sorry. once upon a time I also knew about going back the date but I was going back for time boosters. I knew I had a month of colored bomb wrapped bonbon and fish. until one time I couldn't open the mobile banking app because of going back the date. so I had to reinstall bank application. sorry I didn't understand the post right away😉
