The normal switching rules aren’t working. the two circled in the pic don’t combine
some candies have red and blue vertical lines next to them. What are these glass mirror things
I can’t work out what is happening and can’t find anything on Google

This is a graphics glitch that often appears when reskinned candies added to or removed from the game. Try to force-close and reopen your app or restart your device. Usually, this helps.

It's a glitch. Close the App and try again tomorrow, hopefully they will have fixed it.
Sorry can’t help my level 4972 is not the same as yours.
I’ve tried that. All the videos and walk throughs are from old versions of the level.
I don’t understand what the red and blue lines next to candies are either
