Does anyone know if you have to link your Candy Crush account with your community account to follow these links posted here into your game? Or do you have to play via Facebook? If I press on any link here nothing happens in my game that would allow me to link anyone. I just get a generic screen telling me to download the App.

I never understood this 1d10t1c feature. When I only played on the King website, it never allowed creating a link or adding other players by clicking their links. Now that I sometimes play on mobile, same deal.
Near as I can tell, you can only add by clicking the links using the Windows 10 app. That's the only way it works for me. Make sure the app is open first, then click the link. As to your first question, you might recall I don't link my CC and Community accounts, so that shouldn't matter.

@christinewupp in addition to what Deryck has told you please note that any link older than seven days old will not work.
You should only receive the 'download the app' message if you haven't got the game installed on the device you are using when you click on a shared link. Also you can get that message if you don't have the game open before you click on a link.

@christinewupp here is my link again. See if you can make it work this time. I found you have to try all kinds of different things to get a link to work. Open your game and this site. Play a level and instead of pressing Next (if you complete the level) return to this site and click on my link. That is the kind of thing I used to have to try to get links to work.
As ever I think King are having issues that they either don't know about, or don't care to fix.
Every time I click on the Invite Friends button it crashes my game after I copy the link.

Thanks for trying @Alienscar . Have tried a few tricks including the ones you suggested, but nothing works for me. I'm fine without friends in my game, just wanted to help others, but I will have to give up on the idea now. I can't play on Windows @Deryck but thanks for answering my question.
