after reading about the massive scams going on involving google adverts and scam websites playing hidden videos with audio off, and manipulating code to make every watch appear as a unique view, this game made me question something.
advertisers are funnelling a lot of money into google adverts in order to get unique views. advertisers should only be expected to pay once for each person who watches their advert. Otherwise the advertisers should see that they are paying for hundreds and hundreds of views but that they are only being viewed by a couple of people. As looking through the google advertisers FAQs it seem they have the ability to track how many unique views their adverts got.
so if this is the case, why is this game constantly showing the same adverts over and over and over and over? I swear i've seen the same adverts hundreds of times. And in a lot of cases the adverts become an advert for a company i've bought something from, so i'm already aware of that company, and so i dont need to see an advert for the product I literally just bought. Like last winter i bought a wool hat for a gift, and then that same company became the only advert the game showed me for about a month. i probably saw it a couple hundred times. It got to the point where i felt i should contact this company, that seems like a small sized company, and let them know what is going on so they can check they aren't being scammed out of all the money they are putting into google adverts.
Given that these other scams recently uncovered were using code manipulations to make the same device viewing an advert multiple times to show up as "unique views" each time. i have to question whether King is doing the same. otherwise what is the point showing the exact same advert hundreds of times? if they aren't going to get any money out of views beyond the first, why wouldn't they just show some other advert for absolutely anything else and get a unique view.
Something seems fishy about the whole thing. and I imagine before long if something is going on it will get uncovered. because advertisers aren't going to like that their millions and millions spent on adverts is being scammed away from them.
i also noticed some posts about people experiencing adverts going away after they make a purchase in game. which comes off like a blatant shady tactic by king to reel in anyone who they manage to "hook" and get to make a purchase, and then give them no option but to purchase power ups after they have gotten them to finally pay real money.
So does anyone else have this same experience with the adverts in this game endlessly repeating the same adverts? or maybe even other king games?
