I have seen the game cheat me on multiple occasions now unless I don’t understand but I thought it’s supposed to keep going until nothing lands in a row of three or what not.. and who knows what that would have kept going from there!!

The isue of matched candy not exploding is an issue that has been going on for nearly two years @donkeylarry. We have been told the issue is being investigated, but since you are still experiencing the issue it is plain that they aren't investigating very hard.
Personally when I see a screenshot like yours I can't help but think that the issue is less of a glitch and more deliberate coding.
The fact that you have eight gold and only need one more move to complete the board seems like a blatant attempt to make you buy gold bars to continue.

Was just going to get on here and post the same thing...it's becoming ridiculous. Notice it happening almost EVERY time I take the opportunity to play (which is becoming less and less because of this BS).
Clearly completed a level as the image shows and the "So Close" message pops up and just ends it...game over.
Yes, it's been found other players who have posted in the community. There have been other posts about this. Since for most players the final board is hidden or they don't bother to look closely, it may be quite wide spread. But as the game algorithm is in many ways pre determined as to whether you will fail or have a chance to pass I'm not sure how relevant any of this is.
