Level 2
I don't think with hundreds of millions of players in this game there is any point in having a leaderboard. It's not that kind of game. Occasionally we post here in the community about individual achievements. For example there have been posts about the longest champions race win streak, or the longest level win streak. I'd also be interested in a comparison of how many gold bars players have managed to collect (I'm pretty close to 10,000 at the moment in one of my games) but since a huge number of players are currently at the end of Candy Crush waiting for new level releases every week I can't see how a standard leaderboard would function nor what it would tell you.
I miss this feature as well. It was fun going back and playing the level to beat your own score. Was also great to send lives to all your friends at once.
It's too bad King took it away. Is what it is. Maybe Microsoft will bring back some of the simple things that made Candy Crush fun back in the day.
Good Luck, y,all.
In my post I was assuming that @hickhighs in their comparison with other games was referring to a more generic leaderboard. I myself have no recollection of the old leaderboard that some players are referring to. I don't think Candy Crush is about points any more and not a lot of the new players ever look at points now. Do they even show us our points in the game? Candy Crush has very much become a "How many new levels can you pass?" game, and you cannot have a leaderboard of players at each level.
I miss the leaderboard feature too. I guess the number of players must have increased so much to the extend that it used up too much resources to keep track of the leaderboard among your friends for each level of the game.
There used to be a real-time running score while you are playing. Now it only show you the final score when you are done.
@christinewupp Just to clarify, and maybe you'll remember, the leaderboard we're referring to is the one at the bottom of the level before and after you're playing. It showed the scores, for that level, of yourself and friends. It was actually fun to go back to previous levels to try and beat your own score!
Hope this makes sense. Have a great night!
