Yes and no @spottedhorse. Playing an old level does make your events reappear, but in my game (so I guess in other's as well) I had to play a new level to get the events to reappear. Luckily having to play a new level to force the events to reappear only lasted for two weeks and I am now back to only having to play an old level.
It is easy enough to find out. Play an old level and then return to the events page. As soon as you return to the events page your Treat Machine will appear meaning your events have returned.

I’m really sorry to hear that Adventure Path disappeared from your game, but rest assured it is expected for some events and features to change and even become temporarily unavailable, so there’s nothing to worry about.
Please note that special events like these are bonus features in the game and therefore not designed to be there permanently. To help keep things fresh and interesting, our studio tweaks and introduces new features every so often.
As such, they need to thoroughly check these during gameplay, so these special features may appear or disappear during ongoing tests, as well as during scheduled maintenance checks.
The team has informed that they will continue to work hard to make sure everyone gets access to this feature soon 😉

Hi, PummyRaj. Sorry for delay in response.
I have given up on the Daily Treat Machine. It didn't work for a while, but now it seems to be restored. But I have had to start over completely, and even though I log in daily, yesterday it took me backwards several days as it said I missed logging in (but I didn't).
I give up - I don't want to spend any more time on this, but thanks for your help. I see that I am not the only person that has this issue, so it seems like something that Candy Crush needs to fix.
