Account seed/group question (Windows app version)

Scenario 1

Create an account, pick a custom avatar, play 10 levels. When you reopen the app your avatar will flash to a different avatar then back to the one you selected. This is assume is you getting seeded and put in a group. This is easily confirmed as menu options and other stuff changes.

Scenario 2

Create an account, pick a custom avatar, log out and log in. Close the app and open it. When you reopen the app your avatar will flash but not otherwise change. Again you are seeded/grouped as you actually get the event map background starting at level 1.

I noticed in scenario 2 from testing 50-300 the game was exceptionally easy. Sometimes three moves and the board would decide to complete itself. It was very very trivial compared to other seeds.

What I am wondering, is this a normal seed/grouping or is it a unique one used for testing/QA to demo levels and the like?

Likely more of a question for King but they don't really give you the room to write it out well.
