Events and ads missing

I had passed qualifier and last night was 2nd in the final round thing for one of the events but this morning both that entire event plus all ads are missing. I also have the spinning forever symbol instead of gold bar amount.
I've tried logging out and logging back in but that has caused connection errors and won't let me log in now.
What now?

No idea. I tried reporting under the contact us Events topic and they kicked it back with a generic nonanswer.
I've tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling it and get a connection error when I try to log back in. It shows my profile pic but all of my boosters are missing and the winter overlay is gone with the events.
I even tried a different device and I'm still missing the boosters and ads.

Hello @CynElle the first response you receive from Support is an automatic reply and not an actual answer. You have to wait 72 hours for a response to your question. If you haven't been contacted again after 72 hours then reply to Support using the first email that you received stating that you still need help. Make sure to reply writing your response above the line that says 'type above this line'

This issue has been going on for sometime now and at the moment all you need to do to get the winter overlay and events back is to play a level. Once you have played a level return to the events screen and you should find everything back to normal.
I even tried a different device and I'm still missing the boosters and ads.
Boosters are only available on the device on which they were received. Boosters do not follow you from device to device. Adverts come and go and aren't a guaranteed part of your game.
