What I wish for 2024 from King

Hi guys and Happy New Year to you all!

It's almnost a year now that I've been part of the community and I have seen a lot of changes in 2023, most of which have made it harder to post anything positive here, which is sad.

I tried to start a discussion with a different title yesterday, and it went for approval and as it hasn't appeared I guess they must have rejected it. So I try again. This one is just a test, I'll make my comments and wishes later. But feel free to add some thoughts.

My first would be a return of landscape mode.

Your observations about the shifting dynamics and the impact on long-standing contributors leaving are valid. I want you to know that your feedback is immensely valuable, even if changes might not immediately reflect that.

Your suggestions for a renaissance in the game experience are solid. Bringing back landscape mode, implementing a scroll button, addressing the Candy Royale 'X' issue, and ensuring stability with advertisements and connections are all significant aspects that players have been vocal about.

The decisions about game features and improvements are made by the development team, and while I can't promise specific changes, I'll keep making sure our members thoughts are passed on to them.

The community's health matters, and it's great to see your dedication and appreciation, especially as a Crusher of the Month 🤗

I've been a member of this community for almost a year now. To anyone who has been here even longer it must be quite obvious the community is disintegrating. All the experienced long standing contributors have left. It's not really a discussion forum any more.

These are in my view reasons why it has come to this:

King never take any feedback on board AT ALL. Landscape mode:gone. Ads:come and go as King please. Candy Royale: whine as you may, but no X button for anyone etc etc.
The motto at King is clearly now to aim the game at new players, the more gullible and less educated the better, woo and con them into spending money on the various leaderboard events by first letting them win the early levels and then if they quit at level 4000 after having paid to play, who cares, it's job done for King. At the same time the educated middle class PC players are being driven out either deliberately or by neglect
The result of points 1 and 2 combined is that the community has lost contributors with the necessary language skills and gets blogged up with post after post from newbies who cannot express their needs in the one and only language the moderators accept and who just cannot understand why their ads have disappeared or their app isn't working right with the intermittent internet they have in whichever remote part of the world they are playing from.

The solution? If there is anyone left in this community who can be bothered to read all this, any suggestions?

Mine would be for King to start off a renaissance by making this game player friendly again by bringing back landscape mode, the much called for scroll button (so we can scroll back to help players with levels they are stuck on), the much called for X in Candy Royale (so people stop whining on about it) and to stop removing ads from players' games randomly and to fix the connection problems!

If this community is beyond salvation then let me once more thank all of those who voted for me to be the last ever "Crusher of the Month" in 2023, that was such an honour.
