I do not think you really understand the purpose of the feature.

IF you need to use GB in your game, up to a certain amount the growbot gives you back some of what you have spent.. Those Gold Bars were spent in the way described by @steventseng and usually you do not get anything back from what you have spent. Here the growbot gives you some back, so at the end you will have a net positive result: levels won, boosters and what the growbot gave you back.

Obviously it would be ridiculous to spend GB for the purpose of the growbot.

SoIF you do not spend GB in your game, then that feature is of no use to you obviously. Let it be.

Contrary to @steventseng (if I understand you well my friend) I do not think you have to spend the maximum amount to get something back. You have intermediate stqges where you can get some GB returned to you.
