How to remove adverts without paying

Hello. This is a genuine question. I hate playing with adverts as they slow my game down and I am used to playing without. My favourite game this morning suddenly is offering me adverts! This is the second time. Last time I paid for an offer to get rid of them, but I don't want to do this again. Is there another way to remove adverts from my game? I really do hate them.

In addition, by game freezes now when I get this screen with the balloon floating in it. I have a very old slow phone, and it could cope with the old game but I really don't think it can handle ads with all those glitches. It's too data hungry. Please help!

Surely @christinewupp if you don't play the adverts they won't slow your game down. Just ignore them. Air Delivery also causes my game to crash, but we might as well whistle into the wind for all the good complaining about adverts does.

All I can think of to temporarily remove the adverts without paying is to try playing offline, but I know that isn't ideal.

    Hi Christine,

Could you do me a favor and share your game ID? That way, I can share this feedback with the team but I cannot promise you that the ads will get removed but can't hurt to ask 😁

Thanks for your answer @Alienscar . I have wondered if the game algorithms take into account if there are adverts, which is one reason I prefer the game without them. I always wondered if players who do not get adverts get better events. If I have adverts, it is too tempting to play the advert when I know I am just one move short, as I often am, rather than use a lollipop hammer, which is what I would do without the ads. I don't have that amount of self control! But as I wanted this game to be a test of how far I can get without paying and without adverts and without using any cheats, they really do get in the way of that!

Thanks for your reply @QueenB . In fact I think I may have found the answer myself now. I clicked on an advert when I was just one move short and it asked me to "accept all" or "reject all" personalized adverts. I pressed "reject all" and though I got the advert to help me pass, after that, from the next level, they had disappeared! So thanks, I think that worked for me. My game plays more quickly now as well, so I think they slowed it down a bit.

Oh, I did not even think of that 😨 great that you found a workaround for those adverts by choosing to "reject all" personalized ads.

Thanks for sharing this tip. It could be helpful for other players who might be experiencing similar issues 😉

Hi Christine 🙋‍♀️ Good Morning/Good Afternoon!

I need some information, please! “Where” did you check the option of “reject all”? Is it in an advertisement?

I don’t get Ads in Candy except for the floating balloon ones! But, I have an issue with Ads in another game, as it just crashes my game and I lose my win streak and the boosters if I have used any! Your tip of “reject all” might work in that game!

It was once I had chosen to watch the ad. It was just about to play and then came this pop-up. It's a shame I did not take a screenshot of it. I do think the pop-up came from King and that I have seen it before a long time ago. There used to be an option in Settings somewhere to disable personalized ads, but I cannot find that now. I do get as far as this pop-up below, but then when I click on the green arrow, nothing happens.

The fact that it asked me to accept personalised ads may be because of the privacy settings I have set in Safari or the fact that I clear my website data in Safari periodically, which probably would clear King's cookies. But I am afraid I am not sure of any of this, as I don't really understand how cookies work or how they are stored and transmited.

Thank you very much, dear Christine🙏

May be since you have already chosen the option to not have Ads, it might not be giving a chance to open it!! I will see if I get ahead of that screen!

(Off-Topic: Hope the procedure is same in Soda Saga)!
