Hi @Cornerbrook@1 We do have a lot of gold because we are experienced players who decided to start a fresh game at level 1. If you do that, then first of all the game will give every player 50 free gold bars. After about level 50 or so the episode race starts and lets you win the first few races easily. That is another few hundred gold in the bank. There is no need to ever pay gold in the first few hundred levels for extra moves, as the game is kind to new players, King are trying to get new players addicted to the game, enjoy it, and think they are good at the game. Sometimes levels 225, 240 or 265 hold you up and you might want to pay 10 gold to keep your win streak, but eventually you would get a lucky board even on those, if you have the patience to wait for it. Apart from that, it is easy to collect lots of gold in the levels up to 1000. If you understand how the algorithms roughly work then up to that stage you will gain gold. I got to 3000 gold in my game before I started to have to spend more than I made (through the champions races mostly). From around level 2000 I started making some losses.
They know they gave them to you, so they know you have them. In fact a similar thing happened to me after I won all those party poppers in the Candy Cup. They made my game so difficult after that I had to use them. Normally I don't use any at all and I was planning to keep them for emergencies, but instead of leaving me a lollipop short, the levels suddenly left me a whole party popper short from passing levels or keeping my win streak.
Add to the whole thing, today is being brutal in general, I wonder if it is because I am leading the Vault Challenge... by 3/4 of a million so not like anyone is catching up heh.
Also the game sees you have boosters
Yup the game has been almost unplayable today, zero, one, two boosters doesn't mean crap.
Level 4823 is tricking us into using a lollipop hammer for the last jelly. I have only seen this once before: The fishes from the boppers absolutely refuse to swallow up the last jelly on the board. Even hitting the bopper with a lollipop hammer won't do it. I don't know if playing my own pre level booster fish would have done the trick. But the ones from the boppers certainly don't eat the last jelly. Very annoying and it does seem to go against the rule of Candy Crush of what one would expect to happen.
I just realised that the previous episode gave me a half hour's worth of lollipop hammers, and I think they took that into account with this level! Unfortunately I had decided to call it a day after that last episodes last night. I should have played on and I would not have had to play that booster.
I am livid now! Level 4829 is utterly fixed to lose you your win streak, no matter what you do!!!!
It is one of those where you need the three yellow candies to save one of the dragons. But also, it won't let you win unless you play starting boosters as there are so few moves to get all the jellies. So I played starting boosters and what happens? They place my colour bomb at the bottom in place of one of the three yellow candies! What? Unfortunately I didn't take a screen shot. So this screenshot is of another attempt. But it should be clear from this screenshot that if you don't have the three yellow candies because the board put a colour bomb in the place of one, you cannot make the match that will save the dragon when it drops between them. I really needed to keep that win streak to pass the rest of the episode. Am so angry!
Also, I've just tried out the same level by scrolling back on my other game, played all three starting boosters just like I did on my iPhone and won easily on my first attempt.
So, I have decided to stop having a horse kick be right in the tallywacker.
Got rid of my extra boosters, instantly noticed a difference in the amount of special candies that dropped.
Not bothering to play out levels I know I have lost.
Turned on hints... I take it back, game was just being nice, went full jerk mode a few levels later.
