The ads have recently become almost all 30+ seconds and it’s killing my experience. Sometimes the ads are so long that they put my phone on sleep and then when I go back the ad freezes and then I lose my progress in a game. I used to deal with the ads and even not think twice about utilizing them. But now I have to weigh the pros and cons and decide if watching ads are worth it
Also they took away the option to watch ads for 20 minutes of power up items. Not cool.
Off topic thought: It would be nice if you could also send short messages to people that you’re “friends” with in the game

Just another reason I will soon be done with this game. I made one purchase, reluctantly, and everything I bought is almost gone. There's pretty much no way to gain any more boosters now, so in another few days it will be impossible for me to play except to rehash the same level forever.

Just be glad you do not play the windows app version, no ads at all and you don't get anything more than other versions.
That being said, what you will get from ads will always decrease in general over time. Money from ads is way down so to make the same profit they have to give less to make you watch more. It goes beyond simple corporate greed when it comes to ads.

What do you mean @Pyrolight. I have had adverts for years and what I receive hasn't changed. In fact briefly they got better.

Generally that isn't how adverts work. An advertiser pays to place their adverts with a vendor and the number of times it is watched makes no difference.
For example it cost advertiser's $7 million dollars to place a 30 second advert in this year's Superbowl.
