Purple candy challenge

Yesterday I started accumulating purple candies to get some rewards and had got to 13,000 approx (out of a maximum of 22,500). Later on, when I tried to continue, the challenge and my points had vanished. It was a 3-day challenge.

Spent a lot of time accumulating these so very annoying.

Anyone experienced something similar ?

@Pyrolight @Carol-38 Very interesting and informative thread. TY, Pyro for your insight on how some of these things work. It sure helps a dummy like me! 😸 It's less stressful playing knowing those little 'whys' (if that makes sense).

Back to the original subject of this thread, my purples were 13500. Same ending rewards. I completed it in an hour plus I think. Pain in the behind but I wanted those rewards! Sorry, can't say which level I played, because you know King WILL change it! LOL

I’m not complaining as the game as given me hours/days of entertainment - King is a business, not a charity after all.

Wahey, congratulations @Alienscar certainly not a stroll in the park but a few decent boosters as a reward. As many of us have noticed purple candies not plentiful in most levels so it was a big ask. The 2 levels I repeated over and over are still a long way from where you are giving me approx 250 each time, so still a tiresome amount of times to be played. Got my new Chocolate Box so I'll have a go with that now 😂🙃

22,500 seems a bridge too far although it didn’t deter Super Carol 🙂

@Carol-38 Well not quite the effort that everyone else has had to endure, but surprisingly I managed to collect all the purple candy required. Once I reached 10,000 it became a lot easier. Playing new levels wasn't giving me as many candy as I thought they would and I had a low of 87 from one level.

Best to edit and delete your email, everyone can see it. If you don't know how to do that, Click on the 3 dots top right of your post, click on Edit and delete your email. You will need to put something in though like 'deleted' before saving as you can't edit and save a blank post.

A quick solution would be to add another avatar on the RHS of your current level that takes you to level 1 when selected.

I was really shocked by that news, too, @Charleyfarley . I was only listening to him on Pick of the Pops a few days ago... I'm not sure anyone in the US would know who he was, I guess. Yes, sorry, need to keep on topic or they'll move us to the hiding place they call "Off topic".

At the top of our screens Mr Taxi, whatever lower level we are playing on to get particular tasks we can go straight back to the level we have reached on the map by clicking on our avatar. But if wanting to go to any lower levels I have to scroll with my thumbs and fingers forever. Takes me approx 65 scrolls for each 1000 levels. So from the 16000's to 1000's it's a lot of flipping scrolling. Even more so if going from 16000's to 2000's then up to 7000's then back to 3000's. Are you getting my drift. It wasn't good with the old map and many of us asked even then for some kind of scroll feature, to get to lower levels, however they wanted to do it.

Now this new map is absolutely awful and of course a lot more levels. I know many players who have stopped all together and others who don't participate in side games or the chocolate box if it means scrolling to the best levels that have the required tasks.

I've asked many times (and I mean many times) and @QueenB keeps putting it to the Studio but nothing has been done (yet). It is a health issue for many but King don't have Health and Safety Advisors.

I think they mean as you scroll it moves faster such that you could scroll 50-100+ levels at a time or a scroll on the side with large increments. Basically go from 15K to 50 in under 30 seconds of swiping.

@Carol-38 Is that the scrolling feature that used to be fairly easy and quick to use ? I mean there were more levels spread horizontally so scrolling back was relatively easy compared to now when it’s a real mission.

They choose not to add a search/quick scroll, there is nothing stopping them from adding it.
100% they track purchases and have a whole bunch of reports for it. They also build in the game systems around purchases.

I am an application developer. While I do not work on mobile apps, I have worked on systems with payments. That stuff is very well tracked for many reasons even beyond profit. Ever want to see a grumpy comptroller (bean counter), mention a refund haha.

I do OK and never paid, haven't needed to, and I'm at the end of the map. Well I was 10 minute's ago, new levels out today. I'm no expert with systems but being as they can't even sort out a scroll down feature for us, would they really have something that shows who pays what, for the millions of players around the world? Maybe, but I don’t look that deep into things. Well done anyway with your tagging and replying, it worked 🫡👍
