Candy Crush emailed me about cheating rules when I thought someoen was suspicious of cheating and they said they have cheating markers on the all stars live tournament and it will catch them the second the someone is cheating.
Off line game play is also not allowed because it says the game is a live even and for scores to be recorded, you need to be online.
That is interesting and good news. Could you perhaps post a copy of King's reply here? I had sincerely hoped King would take such steps after the problems last year. Offline play is allowed but I think they have removed the 30x multiplier when playing offline, so this essentially eliminates this practice.
@Cowboy1983 the T&Cs state that offline play is acceptable
5.4. Participants: You acknowledge that Participants in the game may: (i) be at varying skill levels, including advanced and beginner players; (ii) have different features, in-game items, and/or game modes available depending on progression in CCS; (iii) choose to play offline and submit their scores at different times during each Stage. You also acknowledge that the Tournament is open to all eligible players and the number of Participants advancing to various stages throughout the Tournament will vary and may exceed the number of players in your Tournament Leaderboard. Participants will not know the total number of players in the Tournament during Stages 1 – 6.
I’m dealing with the same thing. Two players were at a million points in less than the first hour of the tournament starting. I never had a chance. Their points ran 24/7 until today. Not only that, they started with hundred of thousands of points, so I never had a chance, no matter how much I played. Tell me that’s not cheating.
