Level 2
I've been playing in the All Stars games and still considered active as I'm in 2nd place. I was however in 1st place by a significant amount of points. I'm in the 7,000 levels while the player that quickly surpassed me is in the 1500 level. The thing I've noticed is that the scores for higher level are not equal to the lower level players (they are gaining points at a faster pace). In addition, the 7,000+ levels are slower to complete because they have patterns that change while playing and you have to wait for it to complete before you can make another move.
I have won 43 of the 40-point gold bars back-to-back, completed nearly all of the last 12 hours playing with 3-stars and crowns for each level and had no chance of catching up with the lower level player.
This is extremely frustrating and disappointing. I feel like everyone competing should have started at the same level even if it meant repeating already completed levels. This would have made it fair for all players, new and old.
I finally threw in the towel around 5pm because there was no sense in putting myself in a position of having to purchase more gold bars when its useless. This contest was created to create more revenue for the owners by attracting new players. .
Agreed. I am at 14,500 level. In my top 5 weekly level winners I have top person from 5000 level. How can you compete when their levels are easier than us at higher levels. It is not an equal playing field.
I'm so angry and annoyed with CandyCrush and all the bugs that should have been worked out prior to the start of this competition. I unfortunately spent several hundred dollars this round and regret it because I was cheated, not because I lost fair and square.
Totally agree. I have two accounts and the 1st person on both leaderboards are around 1000 levels while I’m on 12K+. No way I can beat them however fast and resourceful I am. So I will just enjoy the game on my own pace, I don’t care about the contest any more.
If you are looking at their player card it is meaningless. At this stage it would be surprising if they were still in the 1500s. They are far more likely in the 2000s which is actually a very difficult section of the game now. They are more than likely spending money on boosters or simply have played for years and made a new account for the tournament.
Also the in game speed increase > > > should mitigate a ton of the delay from changing patters, conveyors, etc.
Don't assume the game difficultly for x levels is the same when you played them. It is not. King massively increased the game difficulty in the lower levels, it has been a pretty common complaint. Now that is not to say they levels are still not easier, but the difference is not what it once was. If you are ever curious, play 240. It is a prime example of the nonsense King did. You had better have some boosters or you are gonna have a very very bad time.
Anyway regardless, unless you can generate well over 300K stars an hour, you likely have no chance to get top 10. Basically the top 10 will have spend a chunk of change for the 3rd knockout to win.
Fire the people who designed the structure of the tournament. EVERYONE needs to start on a base level and move up from there.
feeling so pity😬
In theory everyone could have restarted and used that account for the tournament. Also it would not be realistic have everyone start at the same level.
As I say how effective you are at farming stars is the big thing. Most people will be using full starting and in game boosters by this point so general "level difficulty" is not really going to be a big deal.
Really the big thing is the guys who prepped likely had tons of boosters that would save money.
All the levels from about 200 to 10,000 are roughly equivalent in the amount of purple candies a good player can achieve. The difficulty in general isn't different, and my speed of playing is the same whether I play level 800 or level 6000. And of course players at the higher levels would have had more chance to gather gold from champions races to pay for boosters, which actually may give them an advantage. It really isn't true that earlier level players are significantly at an advantage. I've played at all levels of Candy Crush. Only after about level 12,000 is there any disadvantage due to a lower purple star count per time crushing.
