I don’t think it’s fair to be competing with people that are not on my level. They can move faster. While in the tournament I went from a badge of 4000 level to 6000. The people I’m competing with in the 2nd final don’t even have badges. So my levels are extra hard. It took me 8 hours to collect 1,million stars. These people are doing it in 2. To 3 hours. Now when I was on their level I could do that to. So what’s up with that. Sounds fishy. And very unfair.

these people don’t qualify to be in a tournament with me. I’ve already played against people whom are on higher levels. It makes no sense. It’s a loss cause if this is how they are doing it.

Badges? BADGES? We don't need no stinking BADGES!
Jokes aside, the fact they do not have a badge shown means nothing. People don't always see their own level badge much less other peoples. It is like the player card, it is kinda useless to base anything on it.
Another way to think of it. It would be impossible to be under level 1000 at this point for most people. Even people who started fresh would have that badge by now so why don't you see it? King has issues with features working correctly.
A third way to think of it. We are all in groups. These groups define the exact version of the game we play. Groups overlap on events. Now lets say you cannot see badges of people outside your group, along with the useless player card you would not get the correct information on the player.
A last way to think of it. Beyond groups there are likely seeds. These seeds may or may not tie directly to groups or might be something additional beyond that, groups might be events, seeds might be more about what levels you get (these do vary somewhat when updates happen). Maybe badges can only be seen by people with the same seed.
Basically while what I am saying might sound insane, with the way things happen it is far less crazy that you might think.

Obviously. I mean how could someone forget a setting they never use in a menu they never open.
More likely I just assume King did something weird that caused the problem.
