Woohoo well done @rjXgray
It is hard to give advice for the next round as the first round wasn't really an indication of things to come. Now that people like me, that play without competing, are out you are left with a lot of competitive people. The person in my group won with less than a million points.
If you have the nerve you might like to consider starting late as that could work to place you in a less competitive group.
If you don't want to wait why not consider playing offline for the first six hours. Someone arriving suddenly in a leaderboard with a big score can be quite demoralising.
Yeah I get that @christinewupp but there are enough posts from people complaining about people popping up out of nowhere to make me wonder what is going on and whether or not it might be worth the gamble.
How many levels did you play offline Christine? Did you notice how much your score increased by when you went back online?
I went offline for a few levels because it just seemed like the 3 of us were just continually putting 200k between us . And because I came in late I was struggling to pass those 2 between me and 1st. But when I got back online I didn’t get the 30k. And it didnt matter because at my 3M the guy in first was at 4.5.
But I definitely wanted to be offline because it was annoying to get back up there and then Spain, Brazil and France started coming back on to maintain their leads.
When I looked back at some things I realized I played half the games the 1st guy did but I made more points . I should have spent more time focused on staying calm and playing like I had been . I found a strategy that worked well, cost less and gave me more purples with less levels.
But when I was battling at 3M+ with three other people watching the front runner just adding a couple hundred k to his score when we got close - it was frustrating . I felt like I was in a horse race …3 horses just going back and firth for 2nd-4rth place while one horse just keeps a little distance .
Either way I had a blast doing this - and I really couldn’t have done this with out yours and @christinewupp ’s guidance , and everything I read on this forum .
Thank you 😇
It's good to hear from you @rjXgray. I'd been wondering how you'd been getting on in the later rounds. I'm pleased you knew when to stop and kept your cool. I really enjoyed answering all your questions and hope you'll continue to enjoy the game and stay around in the community. All the best!
