I am not sure about iPhone and iPad but it is still possible to install certain older versions on Android Phone and tablet. Those installation files are from several third-party archives. Needs to be careful. After installation, you have to disable the auto-update for this app.

The only drawback is that the current events may not be available on older versions.

Well those were the days when it was possible to install an older version of CandyCrush. I don't think this is possible any more? I wish it was, the game used to be much more fun before they changed all our favourite levels. I'd love to play level 666 or 1476 again how they used to be.

One big illusion of the game is to make you think whether you pass or fail is down to how many moves you are given. Sure, that does play a part, but the main reason those old videos posted on YouTube look so easy is because those player had a "lucky board". King control if we will have a lucky board or not, and in the past twelve months have drastically reduced frequency of lucky boards and totally removed them from some legendary levels. You can recognize a lucky board by just the right candies dropping from the top to create combos of special candies to help you pass (not really "lucky" but fixed by the algorithm) or more obviously, by colour bombs dropping out of nowhere.

This reminds me of one level many years ago that I cannot complete after many tries. One particular coloured candy just refuse to drop enough for me to pass the level. I watched a YouTube video to see how others played. It looks easy with more moves. I have no patience to wait for the game to be changed back with more moves if it ever happens. I am not sure if there was any offer to buy more moves in those days.

After many failed attempts, I decided to use an old phone to install an older version of the game. I passed the level and moved on.

As an addit: I’ll mention I’ve had “hours” of bonuses to absolutely no avail and also used some of my earned boosters!
So infuriating! The pathway to nowhere!

similar to other comments 10165 level. I’m nowhere near any completion and been playing 7 days now ( more fool me) but I will NEVER EVER pay money on such an unfair platform! “Swipe the stress away” are you having a laugh? So over reporting same issues.

Then they are really unlucky. Because I'm definitely not going to buy anything, never!!!

It's also a shame that you only get gold bars at the race as a winner, previously you also got some if you came 2nd or 3rd...

Hi @mootje The number of moves players get changes all the time. It is one of the ways King use to control how easy the game is. They control how hard or how easy the game is, to maximise their profits. So if reducing moves makes more players spend money to play on they give us fewer moves, if too many players get stuck and stop playing, they might increase the moves again.

What you are seeing on YouTube videos is how the game played in the past. The game is currently the same for all of us. We all get 26 moves right now.
