Just 30 minutes instead of 1 hour

I have an update 🙋‍♀️

So the duration of the event is 60 minutes and there is a new version being tested now that offers 30 minutes unlimited lives. Before, it used to be 60 minutes. (Some of you might still have this version for testing purposes).

We understand that the text can be confusing, so we're working on improving it to avoid any confusion. The updated version will be out soon.

Thanks for bringing this up to our attention. We will have to double check with the developers but there might be a chance there are different groups where one gets 30 minutes and another 60 minutes.

I will also pass on the feedback about the text not being clear when it comes to the unlimited lives 🫡

I used to have this event in my game and never received unlimited lives! I could not play the game for 3 days as I wasn't home last week and the event disappeared!! I don't remember if I lost a challenge or the testing was done for my account🤔

For me, that pop-up itself is confusing!!
It does not tell us that we will receive 60 minutes of unlimited lives!! But, says 60 minutes and unlimited lives…
It could mean that the challenge runs for 60 minutes & we will receive some unlimited lives!!

I am sorry if I didn't get it. My game has this event and I get unlimited lives for 30 minutes but the event does last one hour and all my points do score for the entire hour, so I do manage to win. I thought yours was like mine @terranova11

I would think it is, just a brutal bug with said test. Also why I suspect it might not be top priority.

Ya bug reports get a fairly useless response. Honestly two weeks would, thinking back from when I was first reported, would be quick.

Basically it would be two weeks before it was fixed at a minimum. Now lets say it is currently fixed, it still might not get into the patch release for xyz reasons. So it would be a week or two after that, assuming internal testing was quick. Then you have the issue with the last patch that would delay it. I still think you might see it next patch cycle.

The interesting thing is that they did push out changes for the event that would be on the client side if I had to guess. I wonder if the fix was intended to be with those changes and it did not get it or if those changes were intended to be pushed out without any bug fixes.

That is the big issue I find, when a bug is fixed and when it is deployed can be widely different lengths of time.

I don't think Christine realized this was happening. I know I assumed it was just 30 min of unlimited lived not 60. Didn't realize you could not get points after 30 minutes.

Anyway that clearly is a bug. Since you get blocked from winning, their might be a fix quicker ie the next two weeks but that account issue with the patch might still delay it.

Speaking of the event in general. They have upped the win to 600 and they seem to be tweaking the first level you play to try and waste your streak, timers boosters and so on. I was running double boosters and having no issue with levels until Beat the Buffet started. It blocked me for 15 full minutes both times I have played it now.

I agree, and I think it may be like all events, different platforms get different events. Maybe windows get 1 hour free lives and mobile now get 30 minutes. I'm not so sure the wording really does state it's a full hour free lives? It could be interpreted as "you have 1 hour for this event" and "some unspecified period of free lives. "60 minutes and unlimited lives" is a strange wording!

If it is a bug, it is likely very very low in the q-u-e-u-e (triggers the forum filter). It could be weeks or months before they look at it, the fix would be quick but then it would go through the QA cycle, or whatever joke of a process King has, then into the deployment q-u-e-u-e. It could easily be months for it to get fixed.

That being said I suspect this is a test and they did not update the wording. In that case it is very unlikely there will be a fix anytime in the remotely near future if at all. Once it "goes live" you would see the fix.

It's a mistake in the game. Have latest update, logged in- and out multiple times. Nothing changes.

They make enough money....it is not too difficult to see the difference between 30 or 60 minutes. Just make it work properly.

Sorta related, I think they have done what they do with Candy Royal. Some levels are extra difficult to jam you up. I noticed this that last few times I have played it and scores in the 500-600+ range seem to be the minimum now.

@christinewupp , the challenge takes 1 hour, it says 1 hour of free lives, it gives 30 minutes, challenge still lasts 30 minutes after that. And as i said, i do not compete because wins don't add up. Wins stick to the total i earned in 30 minutes. So there is no change of winning this challenge ever.....

So.....still issues.

You don't need free lives to compete. I think that is perhaps why King have changed this. It was too easy to win. They don't like it if it's easy to win, they want players to spend money! So with just your normal five lives you have to buy boosters or spend gold to pass new levels if you fail too many levels.

Hi @christinewupp , i don't think that's the case here. Because when my 30 minutes of free lives are done the challenge still continues for another 30 minutes, but i can't compete amymore.

So i still think there is an issue.
