Updating Candy Crush Saga

I've been playing this for years on the Window 10 App on my PC from the Microsoft store. Just few days ago when I open it, it displays this message, "We’re updating Candy Crush Saga. It should be ready to use again shortly." Been like this for days now. How do I get it back? I could uninstall and install but then I'd lose my booster items that I've collected? I don't care about the friend gifted lives, which I understand will be reset to zero. I've also tried resetting it through the game settings. If this helps, I recently had a windows 10 update. (ugh) Not sure if that was after the update or before. Can't remember exactly if I was able to access it before the update.

Help! I've been playing it on Facebook version but that isn't the same.

Don't wait until it tells you that. When I went into my settings it wasn't telling me to update but I did a search for an update and it did install the 1909. I just rebooted my computer and reopened it and it's asking me if I still want to download and install another update. Go into your settings and click on the check for updates button. Please let me know if it installs 1909. I was 1903 and that was why I wasn't getting anything until the 1909 installed.

how can update

Please play via the Windows app instead if the game doesn't work properly on a browser. You can download the app from Microsoft Store here.

I have to restart my computer once every day in order to play Candy Crush via Facebook. I do have the latest and great Windows 10 update. I just recently got a new computer and did not have this issue with my old computer. Any other suggestions? I can play it just fine on my Iphone.

Never expecting a definite regarding the boosters. I would like to believe that 90% of the time we see the boosters again but what about that other 10%?

Just overtime. I've had the same PC for a long time (5 years) and it slowly was causing issues. I searched online what the causes were and it said:

Sudden power outages - I have had those.
Mismatched versions
Updating errors - had many windows updates as you know.

So it's definitely one of these. I would like to think it's rare. Hopefully.

Am having fun playing CCS again! Installing CCS again on new computer parts It did erase all my friend's lives given to me but saved my boosters which is to be expected.

Okay, I've got new motherboard and CPU and installed new copy of Windows10. Everything is working perfectly. Got my Microsoft store back and re-installed Candy Crush Saga. Great to be back in business!

Looking back, it was my corrupted Windows10. It was so broken that many things weren't working right. I could have reset Windows10 or re-installed it to fix it but I knew I was going to be updating my computer parts so I waited til then.

I haven't. There are variety solutions online when I googled since it looks like I'm not alone. I plan on updating my computer with new parts (waiting for black Friday deals) and re-install windows, I'll see if everything is back to normal. Thank you for your concern. In the meantime I've been playing it on Facebook. Just few episodes behind Win10 app.

Wow that is strange that it crashes when you try to open up the store. Have you contacted Microsoft at all?

I updated windows and am now on 1909. Microsoft store however is still broken. It crashes when I try to click on the app which means I cannot play Candy Crush Saga or anything from that store. Will need to re-install Windows.

Yes! I am so happy that it worked for you. What level are you on. I just finished yesterday’s episode. Only 45 levels this week.

I will get to it when I can. I realized my computer is messed up. Microsoft store page crashes as soon as I bring it up so I'm unable to access the Microsoft store and many other things. Would need to reset my computer and windows - a task I don't look forward doing. Hopefully it'll work after that which I'm sure it will.

in my weekly contest it is not recording my progress. It says I have only won 5 levels this week and I’ve actually won like 7 episodes. I have played at least 150 levels this week. I am Nikki #8 on the list

My entire inventory is gone!
What happened to my inventory?? I had over 1,000 candy bombs, over 250 candy hammers, 120 fish and more stuff. Now it's all gone. Why? I'm on the same device as always. It took me years to build up my inventory. Someone help please.
