check your internet connection to make sure it's stable, if that dosent work then clear the cache of the game app to remove any temporary issues. be sure to check if there are any updates for the game and install them. you probably already did this but restart your device to see if that helps.
if the problem continues, try uninstalling and reinstalling the game, just make sure your progress is backed up first.
