Last month, we had the phenomenal Movie Season where Candy Crush characters get to work shooting movies. We all know the metonym for moviemaking in America is Hollywood, and the metonym for moviemaking in India is, say, Bollywood. But what would you call the moviemaking industry in the Candy Kingdom? Would it be Toffee-wood, or Jelly-wood? If you have a better name for it than these two choices, comment below!
Hi @snakegore999 π€©
What a fun and creative idea! I love the thought of a Candy Kingdom movie industry.
Personally, I think Toffee-Wood has a sweet ring to it, but Jelly-Wood is pretty cool too π
I'm excited to see what everyone else thinks and if there are any other creative suggestions out thereπΏπ₯
Thanks for sharing this fun poll with the community π€
I don't know enough about Candy land to decide on a suitable name @snakegore999
Both Hollywood and Bollywood are named after places that are synonymous with the film industry in the country that they are based
Hollywood is straightforward and named after a district in California.
Bollywood is named after Bombay (now Mumbai). You should note though that the preferred term is Hindi Cinema and Bollywood came first.
The question is then where do you think in Candy land would the filming industry be based!
