Anybody else managed not to feed the troll. Can't even get close. Pretty pointless if you ask me.

Till recently, you could play previously past levels to beat the troll. As a result, you could choose to replay levels which awarded many orange candies and beat it in time. During the last update, the removed that play and now you can earn orange candies only by playing new levels. Generally speaking, they are doing everything in their power for the game to lose its fun.
I have to collect 2800 for slightly different rewards. Which is even worse.
The troll is just eating away all the good boosters. Whoever made this change with the troll I hope they feel good about themselves. š¤£ š„²
I made a second attempt yesterday. Almost the same result. I took more than an hour to play one and a half episode to collect 2500 orange candy. Have to admit it. It's not possible for me. Not unless there is a multiplier of at least 2x.
I feel exactly the same Christine, and I will not be manipulated to play more than I want. 1 episode race a day is enough for me, I have better thing to do with my time than playing this game endlessly.

I have noticed the same and therefore don' t bother trying to beat the troll now. I think this must be deliberate to make us start a second episode, like so many other methods King have written into the game to make players waste their lives away playing episode after episode. King control exactly how many candies of each colour each level will yield and so their computers can calculate it will take just over one episode to get the prize. Something seriously bad is afoot in Candy Crush. I can feel it in my gut. I've been posting a lot about this, so check out my other threads in case you've missed them.
I played an entire episode race and did not collect enough candies to feed the troll, not going to play 2 episode races pointless when you cannot collect enough candies in one episode race.

they took away feeding the troll on old levels. Lame candy crush. Itās one of the ways we can keep moving through hard levels. Now you are just stuck in a level for weeks and that is not fun. Please fix and put it back the way it was. You are making it less fun

I always used to do it by playing level 9000 over and over for about 30 mins. But King have now removed that option. You can only do it on new levels. Yes, pretty pointless
Well, I guess they always have to take away a good thing. I think now they changed it so you canāt play old levels to win the candies. You can get credited for candies won in the Star Tournament. This makes it virtually impossible for me. Itās a bummer because it was one of the only things worth doing while waiting for new levels. It isnāt worth playing the Star Tournament. Boo
Why I don't the chance to play "Don't feed the troll"?
Agreed @Kerrie, anything that gives everyone a chance is welcome by me considering just about everything requires passing new levels these days. šļø

Yes the prizes are really good. And like you @Deryck I would like to help others by posting about a particular level thatās a surefire winner, but I donāt want it ending up completely changed, like level 3309 did.
I've also gotten it consecutive days this past week. Today's my 4th day IIRC.
Personally, I hope it stays. Not only does it have the benefit you mention, but I also quite like getting that party popper and UFO every day.
I'd post how to easily beat it, but then King might make it harderāor remove it entirely. hint: it's easily doable with old levels
I just managed to beat him this morning. I was getting so fed up with it that I scrolled down to level 1 and just kept going. I think I had two minutes to spare when I beat him.
I got it three days in a row before it disappeared from my game. I love it because old levels count so itās something to work on while waiting for new levels to be released.

Why are some ads not closing so that you can can collect boosters? Totally frustrating!!!!
Iāve lost so many lives, boosters and opportunities because I canāt close the ads. The Lego ad will never close, and there are several other ones that freeze. The close button doesnāt work. But funnily enough, you can press the button to download the app, so itās not like the ad completely freezes! The only part thatā¦
