The biggest nightmare that any Crusher can face in crushing their way through the game's numerous levels is the ever-likely problem of getting stuck on a ridiculously difficult level and failing it over and over. While the developers did address this problem a little with a few new features such as granting random free boosters after consecutive failures, or increasing the number of extra moves offered per continue for each consecutive failure of a level, I have come up with a potentially better idea to help stuck players who are especially out of gold barsโฆand it's to create another more powerful Booster Wheel that only works when you're in trouble!
The Booster Wheel may function like a souped-up Booster Wheel that you get to spin for free every day, by giving you a handful more boosters. But what makes it even more powerful is that it has a rare chance to give you either unlimited lives to help you try the level again more often or a small emergency cache of thirty gold bars, so that Crushers can spend them to use a continue. Because these 2 prizes are very powerful, you have a smaller chance to earn these items than the other possible prizes.
I know that adding a new mechanic to mercifully give gold bars might hurt the game's bottom line, but I can also say that it may also hurt the bottom line if players choose to quit after getting too fed up over being stuck on a very difficult level ad nauseam. But in order for you to put those fears to rest, let me explain the only way this powerful wheel can activate: you must fail a difficult level a certain number of times consecutively (quitting the level does not count) in order to charge up energy for the Super Booster Wheel. Once its energy meter is full, you can give it a whirl and hope to get some extra boosters, or even limited time infinite lives or the emergency gold bar stash. The number of consecutive failures needed to fully charge the wheel up for a spin depends on its difficulty: 12 straight fails for a normal level, 15 straight fails for a hard level, 17 straight fails for a super hard level, 20 straight fails for a nightmare level and 25 straight fails for a legendary level.
Of course, if you clear the level, your Super Booster Wheel energy will reset back to zero, meaning that it can only be used when you're in really big trouble.
So, what do you think about this mechanic? Can it win back Crushers who walked away?
Hi @snakegore999 what you suggest, other than the gold bar aspect, used to exist in the game previously. A Booster Wheel used to appear when you lost a level to provide the chance of winning moves or boosters. As what you suggest has already existed in the game and been removed by King it is highly unlikely they will reinstate a similar feature as when they remove something they do so for a reason.
