Why so “hard” lately
I am at level 9000+. For approximately the past 2-3 months the levels have gotten harder. By harder I dont mean more difficult strategies required but whatever algorithm is being used is being used in such a way to make a person lose games constantly! Ill play and roll through 4 or 5 levels, then suddenly some algorithm kicks in and I end up on the same level for 2 weeks! Its to the point that I will be given 250 - 300 extra moves if I only spend gold bars to access the extra moves! Im sure Ill hear from users who spend money for extra bars and tools but I am not going to do that again! I got caught up and spent money early in my playing days but wont do it again. I enjoy playing this mindless game and it does take me away for a while but it’s absolutely BS that anyone can be held hostage on a level for long enough to be offered 300 extra moves! Im just about done with this garbage. I can find another way to occupy my mind. I would appreciate a reply from a King representative

Level 15790. All levels terribly hard. If we could get more help in the form of trolls, for instance, we wouldn’ t get so frustrated. And the game would be again enjoyable.

Hello @whammer I am afraid this is a players' forum and we are all players like yourself, so no representative from King will reply here nor read this. There have been many complaints like yours lately. There does seem to have been a change in the algorithms recently which has made many levels (especially those marked as "legendary") impossible to pass without paying gold for extra moves. This is partly because moves have been removed from some levels and partly because "lucky boards" that will help a player by dropping the right candies have been removed from levels. I cannot offer any advice to anyone who is stuck in those levels without gold bars. The game design team are making many levels impassable without boosters or without spending gold. They redesign levels all the time so we find it hard to help players stuck on specific levels and this also means the YouTube videos are not up to date any more. Once we have spent all the gold we have saved up over the years I am not sure we have any choice but to quit. I will quit my game when I have run out of gold bars and I would advise anyone else to do the same. King do not really care about non paying players at the top quitting, because their income comes from new players who have not yet figured out how manipulative this game is.

Sorry but my kind and helpful comment went for approval so I will try this alternative not so sweet one instead: If the game is no longer fun, quit.

I am sorry but you misunderstood me. I did make a reply to you. I spent about ten minutes writing it. When I went off to press "post comment" it disappeared with that little note in the bottom left corner that "the post will appear if it is approved". I was angry. Not with you but with the overseers of this forum. I have absolutely no idea why my helpful post was sent to the approval but yes, I spent a lot of time in this forum writing posts and then it gets very upsetting when this happened. It was not personal and certainly not trolling. In fact I am a bit upset by your reply, it is rather rude calling me a troll.

One more thing, and perhaps on a more hopeful note: As you are approaching level 10,000 I have a suspicion, which is also shared by others, that King have made those levels in the higher 9000s especially tricky as they assume players are more likely to spend money approaching a big milestone level. So if you do decide to continue playing you might find that it gets easier again for a while after level 10,000. Also, they make the whole game easier and more fun to play on a regular basis, from time to time, to attract new players and stop too many of us from leaving. So it might be worthwhile waiting to see what the next "season" in the game will bring. At the moment there is a big dearth of events and we are all fed up with the game. There is hope this might get better soon.

I'm at level 16927 and every day I wonder why I'm still playing. It hasn't been fun in a long, long time. All the difficult levels (about 70%) are undoable, and you're just waiting till it's handed to you on a silver platter
