After all this years I think I'll quit. I no longer get any satisfaction in playing the game that is clearly made to push you buy boosters and help. I'm stuck with the same level by more than a week.

Exactly! I’m tired of it. I used all my saved items and the levels are ridiculous. When they give you 20 lives and you spend your gold bars for 100 tries (because you keep waiting for that amount to make sure you pass it) and it takes you 20 more then something is up. I’m almost done with this game, it’s not fun anymore and it pissed me off also that it’s in portrait mode now!
I don’t know what’s going on, I am assuming they have made levels so hard that people will pay for boosters and gold bars. This week I am still on the same level. I have not passed it and I’m on day 4. I had a ton of gold bars, boosters etc.. because I saved them up instead of using them so much. I now have 4 gold bars left. I notice now after using all my gold bars and boosters to pass levels that something is up, and I don’t like or appreciate it. I am ready to stop playing this game completely. It’s very sad how everywhere you turn people want all your money. This use to be fun to play and now it is not. Why play something that pisses you off. If this doesn’t change soon with an update, I’m out. I’m very disappointed King. I’m sure people are paying so it won’t change.
I completely agree with the posts in this thread. Been playing for years, succumbed to paying for gold bars to get past impossible levels only to get stuck a couple of levels later. Not fun anymore and going to stop playing soon
I don't know if you are still here @writchie . I doubt it, but your post does illustrate beautifully though in a financially wasteful manner (I assume you are loaded with money so you could easily afford to run your test) how King's tactics have changed over the past few months. Us long standing players will have to change our playing tactics and strategies accordingly.
This is how I keep going:
Don't pay for anything. Don't play the game at times when you hit a wall of episode after episode loaded with impossible to pass levels. In April I believe there was such a wall in levels leading up to 10,000, which may be why @writchie was driven to this mad experiment. King were counting on players to spend money to reach that milestone. There is also such a wall in levels 15,000+ at the moment, as King are counting on players to spend money to catch up with the end of the game. Those are the level ranges particularly targeted with impossible to pass levels. If you find yourself in one of those blocked ranges and out of boosters stop playing! Your progress and gold is safe as it is saved in King's servers. Then do one of the following:

I am on level 9775. Wrote a LONG post about this same subject the other day, but it doesn’t look like my post has been approved. I’ve always used Gold Bars to buy extra moves if and only if I am one or two moves short of solving a level. I only used to use up 100 bars once or twice a week … maybe would require gold bar assistance on 1 or 2 out of every 10 levels. Nowadays, 100 bars doesn’t even last an hour … need the gold bar assistance on virtually every level no matter what the “difficulty rating” happens to be. I ran a little experiment … last week, I freely spent gold bars in accordance with my normal habit of using them only if a few extra moves are needed. I passed 209 levels that week, ended up winning my weekly contest, but spent almost $150 in gold bars. That equates to like $7500 per year just to play candy crush. This week’s contest I refused to buy any gold bars. I played just as much as normal, but I only passed 12 levels by the end of the week. One of the levels was rated as “hard” … not “nightmarishly hard” … and I would guess I played that level at least 150 times between my iphone and ipad before I could finally pass it. The changes made by King are abusive and exploitive … I filed a complaint with the Attorney General of California against King for their deceptive business practices.

Exactly. I deleted the app after playing for more than 10 years. The game became impossible to play without spending any money.
The game has just gone impossible , easy levels take over 100 attempts and only way of passing is to use gold bars and when you dont have any you cant, the game is horrible now and they are forcing you to buy bars and boosters to pass levels after 10 years of playing and lever 15600 Im stopping as passing 1 level a week is quite frankly very boring

Yup, now King are now being a bunch of money grabbers. Levels are now just impossible to do.

If there was a way for me to share GB or boosters, I would. Unfortunately, king doesn't allow it. It shouldn't matter what the players do with the "extras" they purchased .. 😉

Yes, I'm exactly the same. It used to be fun, but not anymore. Too frustrating. Getting sick of it. After 10 years, I'm playing less and less and want to stop all together. What started out as something fun has turned into angry frustration. I've already started playing something different.
I've been on 9366 for just about a week now. I can't see any way to get through it without help. And the Candy Box sucks now too. Sometimes you only get the choice use a booster you have to pay for, or a win on the first try. Not happening these days!! And when I do manage to finish it, the boosters are timed and I wind up losing out because I run out of lives. So much for playing this stupid game to relax anymore 😂
@dashwood32097 That was some time ago when King claimed that all levels were supposed to be doable without extra help. Since about six months , or longer maybe, King have ruthlessly changed the levels to introduce blocker levels all over the higher rankings, levels have been tweaked to be impossible to beat, often even with boosters! It definitely has become a matter of if you don't have any boosters or gold bars you cannot proceed without buying. They have also stopped giving players automatic passes when they have been stuck on levels forever. They used to do that but that, too, stopped about six months ago.
You're not wrong. What level is everyone on? I'm about 13,800 or so and it's been getting bad. I get that it gets more difficult as you advance, but as others say, too many levels that are not possible to win without using boosters or extra moves (I thought all levels were supposed to be able to be won without extra help, might take a while, but possible. Some levels are not). Add to that so many levels aren't labeled accurately, tough levels don't have the designation as such, with the little skull. It is definitely less fun than it used to be.
Also, what's up with the booster rewards being all timed ones now? Total BS, especially the chocolate box. They didn't make it any easier to win, but the prize is not as valuable. Rant over 😋

Level 10054 is impossible to pass because the 4th required Dragon does not drop, I have used many booster and bombs and still have not cracked this level because the fourth and last required doesn't appear.
