Hello @rufio23 Welcome to the community! I have heard of many players stuck on levels for days or weeks, the game is certainly trying our patience a lot with impossible levels. But yours is near to a record. Most players give up after this time, or they give in and pay (which I would not recommend). Just in case you are missing something and perhaps we might be able to help with some tips, would you mind sharing which level it is you are stuck on?
I’m on level 8615
I’m on level 8615
Hello again @rufio23 Thanks for letting us know which level you are stuck on. This is a tricky one and I have had some trouble with it myself, but there is a way to pass this. Often if we play a level so many times for so long we get so frustrated we miss those opportunities the games gives us. There will not be many such chances, most attempts on this level we never stand a chance to pass and we might as well quit. But there are some lucky boards.
The key to passing this level is to create wrap/stripe combos, first to clear the blockers in the middle of the board, and then to ideally place such a combo on the conveyor belt just above the fish boppers. So take any chance you see to make a wrap/stripe combo.
I got lucky when I ran out of lives and saw the fishing boat pop up. I have found that this usually gives me a luckier board and a better chance of passing, so usually I also play the colour bomb boosters along with the timed boosters the game gives me, but I pressed "play" by mistake here and did not actually play the colour bomb….
But I get lucky anyway. As you can see with 21 moves left I get my first wrap/stripe combo, which will clear a lot of blockers.
After this move I get this board:
I have three possible good moves here, (the orange match to create a striped candy, the blue match to set off a striped candy while creating another at the same time, and the fish/stipe combo), it probably did not matter here which of these I go for, but I decide to hit the fish/stripe combo. Where that will hit is very much haphazard, but if this is my lucky board then I am hoping the combo will clear some lines of blockers for me. It does:
From this point I take any chance I see to make a striped or wrapped candy, With 13 moves left I see a chance on the screenshot below. If I match the three purple candies underneath the green wrap it will drop down onto the conveyor belt without exploding. This is a key move, but easy to miss. The blue candies will also make a match and disappear and the toffee swirl is hit by both matches.
So this is the result:
This is a winning position: That wrap/stripe combo once set off will hit the full row of fish boppers and set off a cascade, as well as removing three rows of jellies or blockers plus the rainbow twist. This is the result:
So you can see the game is helping me to pass now because the second wrap/stripe combo came out of nowhere. After I set that off, it's easy and I can take my time.
I won't show you the next few moves here because it is quite clear at this point that the level will be passed, with 10 moves left to go.
If you get too bogged down playing a frustrating level again and again it is very easy to miss a chance like I got here. Watch out for a sign of some luck, such as a chance to make a striped candy on your starting board. The game is rigged but lucky boards are written into the level design so the key to passing levels like this is to spot the moment when the game is trying to help you pass. For me the fishing boat alerted me to the possibility of some luck. But it could also be a colour bomb forming by itself or a lot of opportunities to create special candies. If you get such a board play carefully.
Good luck!
