Level 255 is there to hold players up. You will be stuck there unless you pay 10 gold, but the game will allow you to pass eventually if you play all three starting boosters. It will give you two if you see the fishing boat:
If you now add the colour bomb as well:
I played two more attempts, on my third try I got help from the game as it placed my colour bomb next to the wrap on the starting board. You need to make a colour bomb/wrap combo to pass this level, so watch out for that!
After the combo much of the board is cleared:
Now make special candies where you see the opportunity and especially a wrap/stripe combo now will help clear the board. I have one here:
I went on to pass the level five moves later. Watch out for such opportunities. Good luck!
