Absolutely all about the bottom line! I remember when it first started, the top players were approaching the 10k mark (the terrible 10s were the 9 levels leading up to 10k) at that time Activision was trying to entice Microsoft to buy them, so they started making it mathematically impossible to pass unless you paid for boosters or extra moves, that worked so well and Micrsoft ate it up and it has been a cash cow ever since, that is why they stick all of the very successful people in the A/B testing so the paying players have a chance(I have never spent a cent and never will) they say it is random but we all know it is not.
Thanks for your comment @Boybinary "Microsoft ate it up…" Apt, this description. And yes, sad but true, it's all about the money. Bill Gates is called a philanthropist nowadays. Haha. Now playing the hero with wealth build on years of shameless money grabbing. But… back to CC. You have never spent a cent and never will. Admirable. Wish I could say that but since my restart in 2020 I had to give in all too soon. Maybe that still can change for the better by some tips I know about now. And talking about the valuable information I get reading Community posts, what is that A/B testing you're referring to? Looking forward to read your explanation..
They say that A/B testing was introduced at random to do "studies" but at no point did they ever explain what studies they were referring to and for how long they were to last, but when we at the top of the map noticed that the only people put in the "study" were the ones winning all of the competitions, when you are inserted in these A/B tests you were excluded from participating in any tournaments or competitions so I call it the "C your way out" testing, at the moment I am excluded from any competitions in CCS and CCFS
