Candy Crush keeps saying "UPDATE" after updating

My elderly mum's tablet is an Asus T100, CPU Z3740 @1.33 GHz, installed RAM 2.00GB, 32 bit operating system, x64-based processor, Windows 10 Home, over 5GB of memory left. A few weeks ago when starting up Candy Crush Saga to play, it started to load but came up with this message "New Version-Oops! Update to the latest game version for the sweetest fun!" and "UPDATE". I updated it via the Microsoft store which then said it's all up to date, restarted the tablet, opened Candy Crush Saga again but it still only went as far as the message to update. I've tried updating it about 10 more times but on opening up Candy Crush Saga it still says to update and won't load any further. Does anyone have any idea as to why Candy Crush still thinks it needs to update? Playing this game is one of the few things she enjoys doing on her tablet so any advice would be appreciated.

Hello @LMA1968🤗 A Warm Welcome to the King Community!

I am sorry to hear about the issue your mom is experiencing with her game!

Looks like this issue is happening on App version of the game, right?

Does your mom log into the game through Facebook or King account? If she is playing through Facebook, she can play the Browser version until this glitch clears up.

Coming back to the issue - can you please take a screenshot of that "update" message (multiple screenshots if you see different messages) and post those here?

I am not familiar with Asus tablet! So, couple of questions… Was the App installed through Google Play Store OR Windows 10/Microsoft store?

NOTE: Please do not reinstall the game, as your mom will lose all the saved boosters and stored lives from the game!

    Hi PummyRaj.

Thank you for the welcome and your speedy response. It is a Windows 10 device…a tablet with an attachable keyboard and can be used like a laptop. I'm sure the game was installed from the Microsoft store originally as I thought Google Play was only for Android apps and is logged in through King. I've put some screenshots on for you to see what's happening. I was worried about uninstalling and reinstalling as she doesn't want to lose her progress. The 1st screenshot is what comes up after the game begins to load. The 2nd screenshot is of the screen once I've downloaded the game in Microsoft store.
