Absolutely and beyond a shadow of a doubt @JooooJo This is exactly the "new trick", well it's not so new really but you have just reached those levels affected by it. King have done this pretty much for the past two years: As we approach the top of the map the levels become impossible to pass without spending gold bars. King want those of us who have saved up lots of gold to use it all up so we can finally start to spend some real money. If we want to reach the end of the game we have to either start to spend money or quit.

Thank you for confirming my doubt. Yea, looks like that’s what they want us to do, spend real money to play forward, but guess what, I am not ready to spend money on mobile phone games with the current pressure on all cost of livings in the real world. I will keep playing the game until I used up all my gold bars then I think I will stop and say goodbye. It is just a shame that I am so close to the top of the map and I originally thought I can be there soon. From reading the comments here and other posts, looks like the game developer has done a quite few dodgy things to get people slow down and spend money, just to name a few, 1, make the levels impossible to pass without spending the gold, 2 reducing the power of super bomb when it is in affect (matching two super bombs used to clear the board twice which was a great help to pass those impossible levels, and now they only clear once like the usual bomb), 3 increased the amount of gold bars needed to purchase 20 lollipops. I won’t be too surprised if they have done other things as well to get peoples money. Very disappointed ☹️.
