When i hit a fish, only one fish flies instead of three!!

Oh God no, I hope this is a glitch. I've got better things to do today than test and try to sort this one out.

In fact I have now tested it out and I still get three fishes! Which device are those playing on who only get one?
I play on iPad.
This is my game: I have one fish after I make the match with the orange fish, it leaves the screen as a single fish @QueenB, but three fishes return to the screen. However looking at videos on YouTube it's always been this way, so maybe it only affects some players.

This is probably a change to complement and balance the new feature that allows you to make a fish by matching four candies. You can make fish, like in Soda, but you only get one fish, just like in Soda.
Does anyone who only gets one fish have the new 'make fish' feature?

Thanks for bringing up the change with the fish feature. This is actually part of a test being rolled out for a small group of players.
Just as @MannyFae mentioned, it is designed to balance the new feature that allows you to make a fish by matching four candies.
Here’s what’s new:
- 2x2 Matches Create a Fish: With every 2x2 match, you’ll unlock the power of a Fish.
- Faster and Smarter Fish: The Fish now targets candy more quickly, going straight to what it "wants to eat." We've also listened to player feedback and made the Fish smarter, so you’ll notice its improved decision-making in action.
- Streamlined Balance: To complement the Fish's enhanced intelligence, only one Fish will appear at a time, instead of three as before.
We can’t wait to bring the improved Fish to everyone soon 😀
