Level 3
I play on Facebook and recently had to change my password because I kept getting a hijacking page trying to force me to change my password. Since then, I keep losing lives. I'm forced to reload the game page and then I find that lives have been lost. I went from about 60 lives (which is low for me) to 5 lives. I need my lives restored! I ask over and over and over again for lives and I get 1-2 a day. I'm putting a lot of effort into asking for lives, but getting almost nothing back for my efforts.
I refuse to reload the page because of the loss of lives and sometimes levels. I need help and the help request I put in earlier disappeared. When I reloaded the page to find my request, I got an error that the page couldn't be found, so I'm thinking it may have been deleted. NO ONE has helped me. King needs to help me. What is wrong here?
Hi and Welcome to the King Community
I’m sorry to hear about the trouble with your lives following the recent update. Sometimes updates can disrupt the saved data. Let's try a few things to fix that:
I can't update the game because it's on Facebook.
My internet is stable otherwise I wouldn't be able to play.
I have already logged out and in again when I changed my password.
Restarting my game causes me to lose lives, so none of these suggestions are anything that helps.
I tried logging out and in again. My game also is acting as if it's the first time I've ever played by showing me how to invite friends to play and add friends to my list. It shows me how to add friends every.single.time I reload the page. This is not necessary and clearly indicates a problem with the game. And, once again, I've lost lives. I have 4 lives now. I'm not getting new lives. I have hundreds of friends on my list and all send lives daily, but I'm not getting them.
I need some help that will help. Telling me to update a game that is played through Facebook shows that the person helping didn't actually read what I wrote.
And once again, I've lost played levels. I've actually gone back from a completed chapter. This is getting tiresome.
I'm getting plenty of requests for lives from friends. I accept all of them, but I only get maybe 1 or 2 lives from friends over several days. I ask 20-30 times for lives a day, but I get almost nothing. There is a problem here.
You are correct. That moderator never reads questions properly. They only ever send out automated answers and never follow up on your answers either. Unfortunately there is no other moderator overseeing the forum at the moment and not many players here seem to have any advice about Facebook. Personally I am really sorry I can't help you but anything to do with Facebook is just a mystery to me. I play on Apple devices. I take it you do request lots of lives from you friends. Except for the friends I made through this community none of my friends in the game ever send out lives unless I send requests.
Grey screen" issue in both of my games
Thank you, Christine! Finally a real person who cares. Yay! More lives are finally coming through, but every time I reload I lose lives and progress. I'm still back 3 levels. I don't know who can fix that. I play on a MacBook Air, but again, it is through the Facebook app. I also play on my phone. My Facebook level is higher and I prefer that larger screen. This is probably a glitch with Facebook because I had to change my password as I was getting this annoying hijacking page telling me to change my password when I didn't request that. I could only get rid of the hijack page by reloading the game, then I kept losing progress. I've changed the password, but still have the problem with losing lives and progress each time I have to reload. I dread reloading.
I already did that and still the same ole you no what.
kiara_wael is there anyone else who can help here? I still have the problem of losing lives.
And once again, the dreaded Terms of Use page came up when I reloaded and now I have ZERO lives. This doesn't always happen when that stupid page comes up, but it has been happening fairly regularly lately. So annoying!!!!
Hello @Periwinkle I agree with everything that @christinewupp has said. You won't get any help from certain Moderators here.
I also agree that Facebook is a bit of mystery and from all the complaints about it, Facebook shouldn't be used to play Candy Crush.
I'm forced to reload the game page and then I find that lives have been lost.
Can you clarify what you mean by 'reload'? If you mean you are just refreshing the page then I don't see any reason this should remove some of your lives.

I can't really help you with lives as lives is an issue that no one here can help with. For years people have complained about lives going missing or not being received, but we can not get a honest/meaningful answer from King. I receive twenty or more life requests every day and I always send lives when requested. The problem is that just because you have asked for lives doesn't mean that the person you requested the life from has received the request. Also not everyone sends lives when requested especially if they think they are getting too many requests form the same person. Do you send as many lives as you request?

Both of these issues indicate that you are having issues with your cookies. If something is deleting your cookie history the game will act like you are new as it has lost your permissions and history. This should also make you have to sign into the game as well though.
Facebook is a bit of mystery and I believe you have to constantly (every three months) update its permissions to allow it to access Candy Crush. Have you done this?
Sorry I can't be more helpful.
