Judging by your video I would say, yes, the testing seems to have ended on the 'create your own fish" effect. It was only a small test group that received this feature, I certainly never did. To me the video looks quite normal, I could not have been able to move that purple striped candy, just like you.

They probably realized some levels are effectively impossible to beat with their 1 fish, box fish change, and are in the "rethinking this one" phase.

revert some changes seem to be almost okay, but I don’t like the fish can only eat candies even when there are blockers
