Good Morning @MannyFae . I agree with you, something went wrong. As for bots that behave realistically, that is something that was talked about at All Stars 2023 I think and either King were already doing this and have been doing this for years and we never noticed it until it's now gone so badly wrong, or they are trialling it out for the first time. I'll go check on my four leaderboards now and see what' occurred over night. We might find this thread gets buried now that the the CM has been alerted. I deliberately did not include the words "warcraft" in the header as last time I did that my thread was then buried in the collection thread. I am also mystified as to why the official thread seems to keep disappearing from the front page even though we are playing the finals. It definitely makes me think that this tournament is one big test for King.

This will take a while to compare the entire board and this is made harder now that players can change their names at any time. This is the leaderboard this morning. King seem to have added a few points to the decoys but no face or player card. The one at the top is what I believe now a real player.

I was wrong about all the duplicates disappearing last night. In fact my second poppy game is still there this morning and a third has been added. The real one is at number 54:

I have not bothered to play any new levels yet, these are two other poppy images on the same leaderboard at exactly the same moment:

On that leaderboard there are a lot of real players but the first fake player remains at level 12, with a humble score of 87011. There are a total of 10 fake players on that leaderboard.

Yes, I've seen 55 players throughout.

    Good Morning 🙂

I tend to think they are testing something new. I always watch opponents closely because strategic play and mind games are what I enjoy the most. My opponents have always behaved very realistically, and I don't believe any of them were bots.

But yes, It would be a great irony if all those people who blamed bots at All Stars ended up being right in the end.

I have closely studied all the players of the Poppy leaderboard. The reason I thought the fake players were gone is because even while I scroll through the leaderboard the avatars/photos keep changing on the fake players: I have players change from one avatar to another or from a photo to an avatar. On the Poppy leaderboard I do not spot any newcomers, so I think I was wrong about that. It's the same 55 players, out of which 10 are fake players at level 0 with a blank face on their player cards. Two of these periodically show my poppy image. I know that I previously started new test games which I then saved into the poppy account, which of course is perfectly within the rules. I wonder now whether a computer glitch has somehow unmerged accounts that were previously merged and so duplicated players on the leaderboards. This would seem harmless but it definitely is something that needs to be sorted out. Why some of the scores have gone up since last night I do not understand. In fact the player in third place is fake and has obviously made up a lot of ground. On a more positive note the other 45 players seem real and their scores have gone up in a believable manner.

I still feel uneased about the game with the boring levels 0-1500 which I am using to compete in the tournament. This is another issue but being such an experienced player I notice little nudges the game gives me that make it easier for me to get to the top of the leaderboard while maintaining a near constant gold balance. I could swear I have seen levels (with no lucky candy) where there was a frosting left on the board but I passed anyway. I felt this happened three times in that game. I feel like I am some sort of guinea pig here. I am not playing the game, the game is playing me. Yesterday I got to the top of the leaderboard while watching the last three episodes of the series of "Only Murders in the Building" , and I didn't miss any part of the convoluted plot of the murder mystery while playing, it was that automated to race through those levels.

This happened to me too just yesterday, and I don't remember which level it was. I wish I could check if there are any spare frostings on the board. I'll check if this happens again.

Me too. I keep meaning to take a screenshot, will watch out as I take on my leaderboard again now. Have a good day!

I can't find any evidence now and I am wondering if it is all to do with the speed of play, that we miss the added lucky candy we now automatically get from our champions race win. I thought I'd caught the game at one level but when I replayed it to make sure I saw I had 8 minutes of lucky candy enabled that I didn't realise I had. What is definitely true though is that the game is helping me big way and I'm finding it far too easy to win this competition without losing any gold. If they plan to run All Stars like this I wonder what I bothered to save up all my gold reserves for as now any new player can play just as fast just by making sure they keep the super colour bomb enabled. This new feature probably is the cause of all the new test features and changes we are seeing. King are testing out what effect the super colour bombs have on our games. I can tell them that: It makes it really quite boring. I don't have any interest anymore in winning the competition. It is far too easy.

I find it hard to imagine them making All Stars easy as someone has to pay to pass all these levels, or else what's the point of all this? I'm pretty sure you'll need those gold reserves.

Agree with you that King are probably still testing the super color bomb and its effect on the game. There's still plenty of time until the next All Stars. They might modify or remove it before then, or even remove it while the tournament is in progress, like they did with the speed button once.

I am pretty upset about this:

I stopped playing to let the real Asran take the top prize, (I guess I felt guilty about having initially thought he was a cheater) and then overnight one of the placeholder bots actually overtakes and wins the group!

For the record the other three leaderboards I have followed all had real players in the top spots. But why not this one? This is their player card.

I would now lean towards thinking that these bots are placed in the groups in order to nudge us to compete to beat them. My other three groups were won with a score between 600,000 -700,000. Both Asran and myself stopped playing altogether yesterday evening. Is it a coincidence that the bot overtook us? Any thoughts @Alienscar @MannyFae ?

We know King do this in other events such as the episode race, weekly race and I think also the Star Tournament. Are they really doing this in live leaderboard competitions as well?

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
