Oh, I would also like to mention to @cwgames99 that if you are all the way to level 16730 without ever spending a gold bar on boosters, that's quite impressive! I figured out how to make it work around level 500, and I think it would have been quite hard to get this far without being able to spend gold bars at all.

I notice the gold bar count in your screenshot is spinning, like it isn't properly connected. This seems to imply that something isn't right with Candy Crush's handling of your purchases, which I would guess might keep you from being able to actually make the purchases?

Oh, and do be careful if you do manage to connect somehow. I have accidentally pressed something before to make a purchase with real money. Fortunately, I've made sure my account doesn't actually connect to any money, so the purchase failed, so I've still never actually made a purchase. I think it's dangerous to connect with an account that's linked to any actual purchasing ability (like a credit card), so I'd recommend not doing it just to be safe. My Google account doesn't have any monetary account attached, so it's safe.

Sorry, I thought only playing CCS with Android can watch ads and I didn't know that playing CCS with iPad also can. But, I can confirm that it's impossible to watch ads when you are playing CCS with a computer. And, I also want to remind you that if you want to keep your ability to watch ads please don't purchase anything with real money in CCS. Most players lose this feature after they purchase something in CCS.

@cwgames99 I am amazed that you have played this long without realising how to pay for boosters with gold bars. I'm glad you've found out now. The prices were increased a few months ago and players got some different offers at the time but I think mostly we all have the same prices now.

I agree with @Nobody1 that you appear to have a connection issue. Noting that you play on an iPad I would like to comment on this. I have recently found some issues with connecting to the App store on my iPad and iPhone. Candy Crush won't work properly without connection to the App Store and most problems of missing rewards are probably linked to having lost connection with the app store and with King's server. You cannot use gold bars, you miss out on rewards from events such as CandyRoyale and this is probably the reason why your boosters don't get added to your account after watching an ad. You probably lost the connection to the app store in between the ad loading and the ad finishing to play. It takes a lot of opening and closing the game and turning your iPad off and on to get this fixed. Make sure your game and you iPad are both running the latest update. Make sure that your iPad has "automatic" enabled in the time/date settings. Always close the Candy Crush app after each session or every time you find that you have no connection with the app store. Close it by swiping it off the screen. If your gold bars are whirling on the screen then you have definitely lost the connection and need to close and reopen the app. You might need to clear cache as well to free up more space. This is often recommended in the Support forum here for recurring connection issues. Go into Settings on the iPad, then General, then iPad storage and down to the Candy Crush app where you can clear cache by choosing the blue "offload app". However be careful to not ever delete or uninstall the app as this would lose you every booster you have!:

I would recommend first of all to check that the actual App Store app on your iPad will load. Mine did not at one point, after I had travelled and linked my iPad to the iPhone for a mobile data signal, when I returned home the app store would not load. I am still not sure exactly why this happened but I went through some trouble shooting steps recommended by Apple and eventually all returned after a day had passed.

Also there is no way I could ever mistakenly spend real money on Candy Crush or any other app because my security settings on my devices demand that every time I make any purchase I have to input my Apple ID password or fingerprint to confirm any purchase. Apple have strong security systems in place, so it's important to understand how your Apple ID and your iPad work and how to set your security settings on your device.

The fact you do not get to see many ads to watch is down to King and which test group you are in. I have found that in my game the more ads I watch the less I get, that's another reason why only playing one episode per day works best for me. The game will only offer me a limited amount of boosters or extra moves for watching ads.

    thx for pointers.

I’m not sure why my gold bars were not connecting yesterday. When I closed the app & reopened it all was fine with that. A while back I was having an App Store connection issue when I ran out moves on a level, but that seemed to resolve itself.

Today I’m having yet another issue with the ads. I play an old level, need extra moves, offered an ad, watch the ad (takes quite long), the ad closes as usual, then opens up a screen to get extra moves with gold bars. So far today I’ve been offered only one ad in Sweet Cinema, only for it to open to a black screen.

Think this may be the end of my CCS playing.

  • All these hints are awesome and I use them everyday to play Candy Crush. In May 2024 after reaching level 16400 with approximately 200 Gold Bars and limited boosters I was getting nowhere. I created a new account and restarted my game.

This gave me access to ads which I did not have since I had previously purchased one item. Ads are great and I watch them just to build up my booster inventory to pass levels. My Gold Bar inventory to date has been obtained primarily from Episode Races, Gold Chocolate Box and occasionally the Top That and Candy Royale events. I also use my Gold Bars to get boosters when necessary.

My number one rule never use more Boosters/Gold Bars to earn less especially in Candy Royale.

My goal was to get back to level 16400 within a year with enough Gold Bars to go forward and I am getting close.

    Have a great day 😊

Congratulations @Colleen Companion Welsh ! I knew how far you'd got of course but not how much gold you've made, that is amazing! You have nearly hit your goal then. Very impressive.

    hi christinewupp,

You indicate in the above message that you’ve participated in help a newbie. Would you direct me to the spot to participate in that? Im assuming it doesn’t cost you any gold bars or boosters to help.

In reading other threads, I’ve found I’m not the only one having difficulties it’s ads. So I guess it’s just wait for them to fix it.

    I greatly appreciate your & nobody1’s help.

The "help a newbie" initiative is what is says: It was about welcoming newbies into this community, helping them find their way around here and giving them advice and tips. I did not want to participate but was nominated by a friend and noted by the moderators because of the many posts I had answered in this community. I don't think they are still running it now, the page has been removed from this site.

thx, no wonder I couldn’t find it. I did see where you ranked high on the list of participants.

Now I’m not getting any ads. Hopefully you & Nobody1 continue with your great progress.

So sorry to hear you're having trouble with ads, @cwgames99 . I hope they will get better soon. I know I have had trouble a few times along the way; hopefully it will just be temporary and will get better soon.

@Colleen Companion Welsh , wow! That's a lot of gold bars. I was pretty proud of my 31,000, but you are way ahead of me! Nice job! You should easily cruise to the end of the current levels at that rate. With this strategy, I'm still managing to stay even or slightly improving on gold bars as I go even above level 17,000, so you can probably finish with more than 50,000 gold bars (probably more than 60,000 actually). Amazing!

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
