So our test groups are completely different and seem to be decided by our location. That's about as unfair as it can get, so I guess those complaining about the weekly race being unfair have a point. Many of these players don't realise of course that our opponents don't themselves play against us nor against one another. My observation that all my opponents are at levels below 200 pretty much shows that this is still the case. Of course we knew this from when our friends were still showing up in our games.

Obviously the other players are real though as we can see their player cards and invite them to be our friends. It's all very odd but probably just related to King testing out the game for the next big live tournament. It's all just one big test for King.

It occurred to me that they probably pick opponents based on levels passed not in the last seven days, but in the last three weeks or so. The tougher group in the main game could be due to me passing a lot more levels before this past week due to the tournament.

    Level 3

    Current levels of my opponents this week: 114, 135, 107, 121, 73, 87, 105.

Of those, all but the one at level 87 completed all their levels last week (that one completed 83 levels last week); their number of levels won equals their current level. I completed 300 levels last week (and more like 700 the week of the tournament). So I am seeing the same thing as you, @christinewupp , with regard to players all being in the first 200 levels, but there is no correlation with the amount of levels I'm completing. At 300 levels per week, I almost always win the weekly race. I get rather aggravated on the rare occasion that I lose it. The recent changes make it easier for me to win, since it seems most of my friends are real crushers who complete lots of levels every week. I think I added half my friends while playing all-stars; probably not a good idea. 😀

The players are spread out among the US (which is where I am), the Philippines (several players), and a couple of countries in South/Central America.

    Level 1

I find it annoying that I’m competing against all players below level 200 and I’m at 14000. It’s not even a competition at this point so I don’t even bother. Level it back to the way it was then it’s a weekly competition!

How informative and surprising @Nobody1! You sure are lucky to be competing against the novices who are nowhere a match for you.

Hi @shalersco and welcome to our community and thanks for sharing your views and experiences. King are certainly not making it easy for most of us to win the weekly race! They want us all to play more levels and spend more money to try and win it, so not bothering is exactly what I would recommend.

This week all my eight opposition players are at level 150 or less and it appears many of them just started playing in 2025. I also noticed that they are all from Canada and/or the US which is unusual for me.

    Have a great day 😊

Thanks for the help with my research! They wouldn't stand a chance against you if you were in their games, but of course they won't see you in their games at all. It's a very misleading event I find.

I have half from Asia and half from the UK in my game.

So there is definitely a regional element as to who they pick as our competitors. And there is a large test group who get newbies assigned to their weekly race. I wonder who the newbies themselves get to compete against. I know I said I wouldn't start another test game myself but I'm curious to find out.

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
