Level 2
Here is where I lost the level despite two obvious matches in the lower left. I knew the game cheats, but this is ridiculous!
No question the game is rigged to not complete your play in order to get your to spend money. Seems like a clear class action lawsuit. Enough of us have screenshot with proof. I have two myself. Here is my second from today. The block needed two hits. The striped candy that was matched would have been one, the four matched would have created another striped candy and the rows would have dropped. Would there have been another striped candy from above? Would it have been triggered to hit the last block? I will never know since I didn't pay.
The same thing has happened to me. Have you also noticed the change in the play on, they have made it larger and put the X way up in the corner and made it smaller. King must want more money.
Hi @JerryRE The game is 100% fixed as to what the outcome of each level will be. This gets decided by the algorithm when the starting board is loaded and then I am pretty sure a second "end of level" algorithm kicks in a few moves from the end, depending on how well you did in following the best possible moves early on.
King tweak the game mechanics often, and have been simplifying the game mechanics recently. Every time they do this the predesigned nature of the game becomes more obvious to more players as a result.
The problem with a "class action lawsuit" would be that King do not deny that this game follows predesigned algorithms. We have been analysing the game mechanics here in the community for the past two years and I have been posting about it. Check out some of my other posts by clicking on my name above. King never once came in to tell us we were spreading lies and I don't think they mind if some of us figure out how the game works so long as there are enough players who get fooled by the game. All of Candy Crush is a grand illusion: the levels themselves and the events as well. King are very careful to not make any claims about the game that are not true. The game is indeed possible to download and play for free, I myself and many of my community friends have illustrated this many times. It is not a gambling app as no cash is gained from playing. King are doing nothing unlawful. They make sure of that. The only thing those screenshots prove is that the game mechanics have once again changed. Now the end of level fail cascade is cut out completely whereas before it was allowed to run a little longer. The outcome was always fixed, only now they have been so sloppy that it's visible.
(That's probably where the yellow candies come in @MannyFae . The yellow candies will cut the last move short in a manner that may prevent matches showing up on the screen at the end.)
I saw those yellow candies in a post-fail cascade myself this morning. The game dropped six or seven of them in one column, and turned them into a striped candy instead of a color bomb. And the issue of candies being matched but not crushed at the end of the level has been reported more often lately. There seems to be an issue with the endgame cascade mechanics. It could be a deliberate change, but it seems erratic and more like an awkward attempt to tweak something.
At least I finally got a response from support that wasn't irrelevant and canned.
