New patch today has broken stuff

@QueenB The new patch has broken a few things.
On Windows, did two games a reset and reinstall between them. Also closed and opened the game after every episode.
Game 1 (level 55)
- Winter splash screen never was set
- Cake event did not trigger
- Episode race did not trigger no matter what was done
- Win streak triggered slightly late
Game 2 (level 66)
- Piggy bank did not trigger
- Cake event did not trigger
- Episode race did not trigger
- Win streak triggered at 66
Anyone else have a list of what is now broken for them?

I've seen you posting about this in a few places and forgive my computer illiteracy, but what exactly do you mean by "patch"? I've just noted there was an update yesterday that I could install but I'm holding off it for now just in case what you are describing is true for Apple as well. I don't have any free devices to test anything out on at the moment. Your tag for @QueenB did not show up in green, so I repeat it here, in case she didn't see your post. It's a bit of a worry if the game is broken for absolute beginners because they would not even know there is an issue. They'd probably just think that is the way the game is meant to be, so we cannot rely on players posting or contacting support about it.

Must be what is wrong with my game as well. I started playing today and noticed no episode race very annoying 🙄. I am not spending my gold to pass even if there is only one move to go. What is the point when I will get nothing at the end if I win. I wish King would get all these glitches fixed. I am not very computer literate but surely, they can avoid these problems, you would think that they have experts working for them. Maybe the sacked all the real people and are only relying on AI.

Hallo bei mir ist das Episodenrennen auch nicht mehr da hab an Candy Crush geschrieben und 30 Goldbarren gutgeschrieben bekommen —-es hätten wenigstens 45 sein müssen da ich weit vorne war—nur das Problem ist immer noch nicht behoben das Episodenrennen ist immer noch nicht da werde gleich mal wieder alles neu starten Gruß an alle die gerne spielen !!!

Basically a patch is an update to the game that also fixes something. A new feature or levels would not be a patch per-se but if they fixed something that was broken it is a patch. In this case I assume it was a patch based on the versioning, complex concept, and the fact people had stuff start working again and stuff was broken that seems outside of a normal update.
But ya hold off to be safe, I regret having auto update for apps on. Would have saved myself the pain of this one.
