I will never run out of titles and this one is very topical!

So I rolled back a version and shock of all shocks, episode race works.

Anyway Rules:

  1. Extra turns allowed
  2. No buying gold
  3. No Hints
  4. Must get to 66 with no lost lives
  5. 6 hour sessions, min 1 a day when possible (Try, but not required).
  6. Rage less, crush more.
  7. Many more bad puns in posts.
  8. Trust King to break something fixing something else.

So the game so far:

  1. Tiffi start but updated with my avatar
  2. So @christinewupp this one is for you, look old intro levels BUT wait a minute!!! WHAT?!?! Ya they have the old levels now where they need instructions and the new ones otherwise up to 51.
  3. I so do love the spinning cookie wheels,
  4. New event screen
  5. Apparently starting with Tiffi gets all the new fun stuff.
  6. Riiiight, because this level needed less turns 16 → 13.
  7. The cat again cuz she is so cute (ya posted this before)

Anyway have to see where I end up tonight.

    So my analysis of the fish: @QueenB

    1. Square makes one and they also appear randomly like other special candies.
    2. Two fish make three, they had a baby… lol. One could say the mother fish had a jelly belly…
    3. Order is jelly > frosting more than 1 layer > licorice >= frosting 1 layer > special candies unless the candy would affect the requirements. This is in general as there do seem to be some variations like if a Gummi Dragon is in a licorice cage and there are no Gummi Dragons not in cages/above the cage.
    4. Special Candy + Fish = 1 special fish.
    5. They are smart. They will clear directly under Gummi Dragons.
    6. When combined with special candies they are usually smart… ish.
    7. I think they act a little like an auto hint, make the best move possible in general.
    8. They are terrible if you need tons of jellyfish in general for a level.
    9. They are making updates to lower levels to work with the new fish mechanic. Level 103 in particular now has no fish on the sides and striped generators.
    10. Color bomb and fish is really strong now.

    Further analysis

    1. They are great on levels with no jelly where the old fish were useless or non existent. Level 154 is much easier as example.
    2. They are good on where there are corner moves and such that really sucked before.
    3. They are terrible on levels that require many fish or multiple special candy boosted fish.
    4. King has upped and lowered the number of turns for some levels. The ones they lowered 100, 114, 140 are way too tight. 114 the last dragon drops on the last turn… did literally no one test that?

    I am yet to see the new fishes @PyroWhatever . Thank you for that detailed explanation, especially the order of what they attack. I know you haven't got to sugar coats yet, but I think fishes attack sugar coats with some gusto as well, perhaps as a top priority. I do worry about them since MannyFae warned of how they can break many levels. If King are to make these universal and permanent I fear they will have to change all our favourite levels still present in the game along with it. This latest Tiffy game is not a great sign of things to come. Watch out if you get the marshmallow. I got mine at levels 600+. That's fun. Also please watch out for conveyor belts. If King have gotten rid of those I'll quit: I'm speeding through level 1000+ now and they are so boring because the conveyor belts have all been written out of those levels completely.

    Anyway, that's an extremely interesting test group you're in here. Hold on to that game!

    Ya really need to force myself to, it has been super interesting.

    Other things of note:

    1. This game has the rewards lounge. I have had no issues with the free hammer breaking. The game with jelly streak all had issues with the free hammers breaking.
    2. The rewards lounge games have required 6 levels for super color bombs, jelly streak were 10.
    3. Level 212 is considered Nightmarishly Hard now… Objectively it might qualify for hard but that is it.
    4. 240 has more moves now.
    5. Updated the fish order slightly, noticed that Gummi Dragons in cages > multiple layers of frosting if there are no free Gummi Dragons around and some other slight variations. Seems it is not a hard and fast rule but a priority roll (what to do first) with weighting for certain blocker types. ie you have a 2 as having two dice and licorice having one. The dice are rolled and whatever has the higher number is attacked. So in the end most of the time the two layer frosting is hit first but not always depending on the roll ie 2 x 2 vs 1 x 6
    6. Well had a crash and the rewards lounge went a little nuts. There is something slightly off about what the server says to have spent and what it says locally since I was 15 or so gold short of tier 4, crash and then it was complete so got the rewards. Failed the next level and they popped again. Very odd. Then again I guess the Jelly Queen does know that I am just that awesome that I deserve double the rewards haha.

    Final Entry for this one will make sense in a sec

    1. Noticed that Champions race might be around 12 hours now since at 14 it was ended. Bit rough when you use 6 hour sections. Could also be the fix for the champions race or could be a specific time of day regardless of when you start. Thinking of testing that out. 45 gold is 45 gold :P
    2. While I like the new fish mechanic there are a few things that sorta kill it atm:
      1. Fish heavy levels, some have been updated most have not and this is just tedious.
      2. They have removed some turns from some already crap levels. The fish don't help.
      3. It is just kinda unsatisfying having a single fish. Just kinda feels meh.

    Anyway Monday will do a new game, might do a new fish or not. Found the right files to delete on Windows to reset the game so it is basically takes no time to select avatars and/or see the first level.
