I hate the Star Tournament. You can't win on single game and I'm not investing money in this.
A few weeks ago I passed a level and the game continued to the next level as usual. Yesterday I passed a level and this horrible "Star Tournament" popped up again. It's next to impossible to win on 1 try and I absolutely refuse to put money into it. I've been playing Candy Crush for quite a few years but am considering quitting. It's no fun any more. I'm not even mentioning the bugs in the game which are happening more often than ever.
Who's running this show anyway?

That is all that the Star Tournament is: Something to keep the hopeless addicts going while we are waiting for new levels to be released. New levels are released every Wednesday, usually 45 of them. In the meantime we need to take a break from playing as there are no more levels. Most of us at the end of the map don' t bother with the Star Tournament. It's all legendary levels taken from all over the map and there are no prizes worth playing it, so definitely no one in their right mind would spend any money on this.

Is there a date for the end of this horrible "Star Tournament"? I miss playing regular Candy Crush as this "tournament" is not possible to win unless you put money into it by buying lives, perks, etc.
Doesn't matter because the next game will be just as impossible to win on one try.
I've noticed over the years that with Candy Crush after winning a difficult game, the next one is so much easier (I guess to people interested) That works for me. However, this ridiuculous "tournament" cannot be won in a single game. If you do, by sheer coinsidence, the next group cannot be won. Unless you put money into it.
I've enjoyed playing over the years and have passed the 18000 level. I just want to know if there is an end in sight or if this is going to continue endlessly, then I'm done.

I did answer you already and am not sure why you ask again.
So to clarify: the star tournament starts when you reach the end of the map. 45 new levels get added every Wednesday and once you have passed those the next star tournament will start until the following Wednesday. That's what happens when we get to the end of the game. This is a never ending cycle of events.
No player is forced to participate or play in the star tournament.
